  1. Past hour
  2. Absolutely. So sick of hearing about how badly advised they've been. Numerous people have tried numerous times to give them sound advice yet for some reason they always seem to follow the bad advice they've been given. Almost as though they've done so deliberately. Regarding Suhail, as someone said in another thread, you need to kill the guards before you storm the castle.
  3. Yeah I should have said, the last paragraph wasn't to you specifically. Just skimmed through the last 5 pages and seen plenty of people disgruntled that it's a loan with an option.
  4. It was the worst kept secret that we were obliged to buy him. I never even mentioned the Baradji deal, so I certainly wasn't criticising it. Tbh I don't even know what the connection is, I've not seen the last few pages. I assume we are loaning him with a view to buy? I've been out at work all day, maybe I need to check the news.
  5. Today
  6. Is his removal imminent and will the poisonous Gestede go with him, if he goes? Its becoming, critical now and the damage will be irreversible, if it carries on much longer.
  7. Yesterday
  8. It was a loan with an option to buy. Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Ben Brereton from Nottingham Forest. The forward will move to Ewood Park on an initial loan deal with the option of a permanent transfer in January. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11676/11484523/blackburn-rovers-complete-signing-of-ben-brereton-from-nottingham-forest Loans with an option favour the buying club. That's why the loaning club and player sign extended contracts between themselves to mitigate the risk they're incurring. As always, loads to be annoyed about with Rovers, but the workings of the Baradji deal is not one of them.
  9. Fair point Chaddy, you were absolutely right about it happening, good prediction. I also think it had and may continue to have a short term boost in that game and perhaps beyond, in terms of his performance. However, and perhaps time will prove this wrong, but I don't feel he has the right personality to be captain material in the longer term. I think it will make him step up, maybe for a few games, but he doesn't strike me as mature enough or selfless enough for it to pan out long term. He doesn't seem like he could pick a team up by the scruff of its neck and get it over the line, not even close tbh. But hopefully we at least see a bump in his own performances, hopefully one that lasts, and he can be a key player for us when on his game.
  10. You're absolutely right. Shouldn't be posting so late at night after a flight!
  11. Not the last 2, but it has been 3 of the last 4. 21/22: 8th (tanked playoff push) 22/23: 7th (tanked playoff push) 23/24: 19th (damn near relegated) 24/25: 7th (tanked playoff push) It is funny we've had seasons closer to what Chaddy has predicted than basically anyone else on here for 75% of the last 4 years. ... In spite of all conceivable facts and logic.
  12. I think you've misremembered the last two seasons. Last season was a good one (minus our ritual January seppuku), but the season before we were a gnat's pube away from relegation. It's the season before that where we came close again.
  13. The first thing to say is that Brighton were excellent. They were quicker in movement and mind, stronger and certainly more skilful. Ordinarily that would tell the story of a 4-0 defeat but the truth is not one Rovers player (except Batty who was ok) comes out with any credit. We lacked cohesion, application and at times attitude. It was certainly the most inept I have seen our under 21's for a long time and baffling after a decent performance on Monday against Everton although there were some changes. We ended up with Wood as a central striker and Strich just behind him so the absolute dearth of strikers doesn't just apply to the first team. Hopefully the under 18 boys can smash the Dingles today and restore some pride to the Academy.
  14. That was a purchase dressed up as a loan. The purchase was guaranteed from the start. If I'm remembering rightly it was only a loan initially due to the loan window being open longer than the transfer window at that time. If I'm misremembering then it was probably just to push the accounting further down the line, but it was definitely not an option to purchase but an obligation. Can only imagine how much flak they'd have got if we saw him be worthless for half a season then spent 7 mill on him anyway without being forced to.
  15. So every year much of this thread is full of angry posts about Chaddy being delusional and the fact we're going to be relegated. For the last two years technically Chaddy was right to have hopes of optimism and a good season. If it happens a third time in a row does that make Chaddy right and the rest of the yearly doom mongers and chaddy haters delusional? 🤣
  16. It's make perfect sense and I did called Cantwell would be named captain before last week game. People ridiculed me. Well I got it right didn't I. Giving Cantwell extra responsibility will help his game just like Neil Warnock did with Abel Tarabat at QPR
  17. What, that you just accept everything that they come out with at Ewood without engaging your own brain and thinking about things for a few minutes? Yep no surprise at all.
  18. No I don't. Were you born yesterday?
  19. This guy is a big problem no doubt, and there are dots being joined about his involvement and agenda, but it all starts and ends with Venkys. No more of this that they are fine in the background but are being misled/taken advantage of/will learn from mistakes. They are poison as much or more than those they employ to do their dirty work. They will only leave when they have to. Hopefully - long shot - their legal issues and restrictions eventually break them or their business collapses into dust and then we are freed from their occupation but I'm not confident of that. It may be a waiting game and may take many years for the evil four to give up or for control of their business to pass to others. Hopefully then there's a change. It might take decades but so be it. This club will never achieve its potential or grow/improve under their occupation.
  20. He told the media why Cantwell was appointed captain today or dont you believe him
  21. No he has signed scholarship here
  22. Cantwell is getting the captaincy partly because he's one of the few remaining experienced players that have a clue about the Championship and partly because 'they' know that this is one way of injecting additional value into him ahead of January/Summer 2026 when 'they' turn their attentions on the next round of sales of which he will be top of the list once Hyam and Tronstad have been dealt with. I suspect Ismael has had zero choice in this matter, it has been imposed on him from upstairs.
  23. So you sack Potter as you want, then which players do sign given you dont who the head coach. Yet we were better team last week until the penalty incident where Birmingham created feck all. Goals change games
  24. Must mean the signings are all clueless twats.
