  1. Past hour
  2. It will be one of the reasons home crowds continue to fall. Watching us under Venky ownership is soul destroying enough as it is, without adding hopelessness and anxiety to the closing stages of every match. When we finally got some respite from that under Eustace it was almost immediately torn away by the usual internal bickering and disagreements which led to us downgrading to Ismael.
  3. I think we're being a bit precious.. he's having a go. The fans love it. I can't see the harm tbh. I'd have that over many other ways the manager can handle it.
  4. That's a promotion for Pickering! (ridiculously).
  5. Ismael is bang on about how appalling the referring standards are now. Refs are mostly clueless at this level. How did the ref missed the blatant red card yesterday or Whiteman's challenge not being a red card by a PL ref? So who would you brought on?
  6. Absolute must win, they’ve won 1 all season and are a rag tag bunch. Fail to win and I’ll start to worry.
  7. With all the injuries we have and the need to carefully manage the players do you not have a problem with Ribeiro and Pickering not playing? We are lacking defensively, particularly in the final phase of the game but these 2 who played regularly (and well) in a team that finished 7th are never picked, not even as substitutes. Aren't we shooting ourselves in the foot!
  8. I actually thought both Tavares and Baradji grew into the game last night, Tavares has to be more alert when tracking a man but got a few good interceptions in and did ok further up the pitch. Gueye was odd he was at walking pace but I thought under instruction maybe to let them have it along their back line and not charge them down.
  9. Someone posted a link to a stat on X that read: "Make that 17 result-changing goals conceded after the 90th minute since the start of 2021/22 season to 4 scored."
  10. Szmodics fee the Raya sell on the second instalment of the Wharton fee There will also be bits from selling Gallagher, Wahlstedt, Ennis, & the Telalovic sell on
  11. Waggott still is according to reports. That's £400k down the toilet this season.
  12. Wont say that we will lose, but we find it more difficult against teams who are more content to be reactive, and who do not play out from the back (looking ahead to a week of Sheff Wed, Oxford, Portsmouth). Whereas teams who are more expansive, and invite us to press as they play out from the back (Leicester, Southampton, Ipswich twice) suit our style The above is only magnified in home games
  13. One more thing: The fees we could receive based on team/player performance are currently just over £20 million, this has a caveat that they’re expecting to receive far less. Which players do we think most of this is attributable to?
  14. How can anyone have no problems with the substitutions when he consistently favours the terrible De Neve for the experienced heads of Ribeiro and Pickering. I know which two of the three I’d be bringing on to bring some calm and experience to the backline with the view of managing the final minutes of a game.
  15. Maybe Danny Murphy. Nobody gets lower than him but Gueye is close.
  16. One thing I did notice was they’ve changed how they think ‘they’d get their money back’: From promotion to the Premier League to; Sustained membership of the Premier League. How the extreme unlikelihood of this hasn’t led to a write down of the value of their investment is beyond me.
  17. I watch Chorley occasionally and i say this with ultimate honesty that is where Gueye should be. I'd be questioning if he's related to someone involved at Rovers because whoever saw fit to elevate him to this level needs ignoring next time they recommend someone. Add to that he is now a lazy bastard which is unforgivable, don't think iv'e ever heard a player booed ON at Rovers but it's coming.
  18. We will lose this one because everyone is expecting to win so easily. Rovers 0 Sheff Wed 1 (Cadamarteri 90+3) Seriously though if we don't win this it's time to just shut Ewood for the rest of the season.
  19. We need a repeat this Saturday.
  20. 175 pages of this thread... imagine how much lower that would be if we could only state fact! For what it's worth, Daniel Sturridge, and most other pundits, are absolute dirge. I find football on TV immeasurably better on mute. I don't have someone at Ewood or wherever else I end up in person telling me what I just saw, why do I need it for watching it on TV? Half of it is just pandering for social media clicks later... G-Nev OUTRAGED by VAR call... Roy Keane TEARS INTO West Ham left back... Micah Richards AMAZED by concept of gravity. Get it all to launched into orbit.
  21. Haven't won a home match against any of the teams in the bottom half of the league this season. Will have to play all those teams away from home in the second half of the season. Don't usually get anything at places such as Swansea, Oxford, Sheff Utd or Portsmouth. Absolutely need minimum 4 points from the next two matches.
  22. That image is yet another embarrassment heaped on this football club. It's also extremely 'memeable' and will no doubt come back to haunt him and us. You can now edit anything on to that sheet of paper for a laugh, maybe it will eventually be 'P45' come May, or maybe not.
  23. VI simply has to stop putting on Gueye and De Neve. They are game changers - just in a negative way. Gueye should be fined for his performance last night. I can forgive him for a lack of talent but not for his complete lack of effort. He refused to run around, chase the ball, and make himself a nuisance. Totally unacceptable. As for De Neve, no lack of effort but just totally out of his depth. As others have said, it makes no sense he comes on rather than Ribiero when we're holding onto a lead. I suspect it's a contractual issue with Ribiero. Countless former players have said they were not played due to contractual reasons and triggering of contract extentions etc. That surely has to be the case here too.
  24. We don't have a choice, we have to accept them. We can't go back and 'correct' any bad decisions, so complaining is pointless. One angry manager's tirade won't change the level of reffing, regardless of how poor it is. Every team gets a handful of stinkers against them over the season, ours just seem to have come all in a short space of time. It's bad luck, but crying about it on TV and using it as an excuse for being 18th in the league is pathetic imo. When we eventually get one of those controversial decisions going in our favour, there is not a cat in hell's chance he will be on TV saying we didn't deserve to win, that were just very lucky and that refs are awful. The suggestion that the referee was biased towards Ipswich because they were recently in the Premier League is extremely pathetic, so I won't accept those comments from a Blackburn Rovers manager, it's embarrassing. He will probably get a fine for this and he deserves it. I still remember in the early 2000s when West Brom fans turned up at Ewood on the last day of the season and staged some bizarre protest against referees because they argued that they had been relegated because of bad decisions against them - Not because they had been shite. That's what this reminds me of. Laughable.
  25. In the same period since we scored a last minute winner in front of fans, we have conceded 10 last minute winners to lose games. I thought it might have been more to be fair, although we have conceded plenty of last minute equalisers too.
