  1. Past hour
  2. 'fuckouttahere with your transfer talk. This thread is for petty pissing matches about assumptions.
  3. There's been concrete interest in Brittain, he has seemingly expressed a desire to leave, and we're not standing in his way and have put a valuation on him. But Ok - if you're a member of the flat earth society along with chaddy - you feel free to crack on under that assumption as well!
  4. Rovers reopened talks over Baradji on a pay as you play deal. Player happy to come under those circumstances.
  5. Yeah, he’s a RB. Correct. The bloke who’s gone to Charlton contributed nothing from RB last season. That’s isn’t an assumption. The manager has stated he brought in the new RB because of the qualities he has. That isn’t an assumption. He sold JRC cos he didn’t have those qualities. That isn’t an assumption. Based on those things my OPINION (another concept you’re struggling with) is that we are stronger. The fact it needs to be repeatedly explained to you is quite bizarre😆
  6. Shaking it up a tiny bit from one or two of the more obvious names Sir Roger Jones Hird Hendry Samba Le Saux Batty Tugay Brotherston Shearer Bellamy Duff
  7. I try an be objective but I thought the ref was leaning to Spain. They don’t do the diving in fouls like we do but they do the holding back breaking players type fouls all the time. I thought two of the Spanish players should have been booked. It looks like you can’t just win the ball now. If you win the ball and touch the other player in any way afterwards - it’s a foul.
  8. Won the fans player of the year that season too over Shearer who scored 30 odd goals which is some feat in itself, and showed what the fans thought of him. Think it's easy to forget how good he was with him not being involved much in the title winning season.
  9. Every player was good on the ball, they could all pass off either side under pressure, they found spaces better than we did. It was when they got into our penalty area that they lacked ideas. 8 games out of 10 they would possibly beat us. Yesterdays game was one of the 2 were they couldn’t.
  10. One of whom has played a handful of minutes, so you're making assumptions on his ability as an actual RB.
  11. Wouldn't have Henchoz or Neill anywhere near an all time X1 personally. Edit: Peacock and Henchoz was one of the worst pairings I've ever seen.
  12. 100%. Unbelievable in 93-94.
  13. My original post was based on the squad we have now. If you want to make a different post on the squad you’re assuming we have when the transfer window closes then crack on. Fairly simple really.
  14. Fairly simple point - thought we were discussing whether we were weaker or stronger than last season - on the assumption Brittain is going to be sold - you need to be comparing the new bloke to Brittain not JRC who never played.
  15. Suppose Sherwood is seen as an automatic pick by a lot with being the captain of the title winning side. For me though I always thought Batty was twice the player Sherwood was, such a shame he got that injury fairly early doors with us.
  16. Gueye will always be an unknown quantity no matter how many times you come up against him 🤣
  17. Why are you comparing the new bloke with JRC when Brittain played 33 times last season?
  18. I think a question should be raised at the next Forum meeting as to what the difference is between a Fans Forum meeting and a Supporters Consultation meeting. There is a difference because the former have taken place at Rovers going back decades, whereas the latter were introduced a few years ago following measures introduced by the EFL, took place for a couple of years with Tony Mowbray turning up with tales of life in 70s Teesside, and then as with Shareholder meetings were ditched during the Covid era under the guise of 'safety' and neither have been held or even mentioned since. Perhaps Pasha, Sufi or Talbot could explain why the club decided not to resume those meetings after Covid. That's because the shysters spotted an opportunity, as they often do, to save time and money and save themselves a job by cutting those meetings and lumping everything into one with the Fans Forum
  19. As per the post you’re quoting I gave the context for why I think we’re stronger. RB - last season JRC was shite/injured and contributed nothing from RB. We have now signed an actual RB who plays in the way the manager wants i.e. quick and athletic, everything JRC isn’t. It’s a clear improvement in that area given the context.
  20. Hardly relevant in any case if/when Brittain goes. We'll be weaker at RB as well.
  21. They looked more comfortable on the ball and they created way more chances. If they could only finish we would have lost comfortably. Anyway that's my view.
