Was never expecting a good crowd but on the back of Friday i was expecting a few more of the loyal hardcore to be in there and a bit more of a positive atmosphere. A bit more of a normal feel to it is the best way to describe it but looking around and the vibe you'd have thought we'd just been hammered off Burnley again. That doesn't help the players and if you with all your Rovers experience can't see that then i'm surprised. As iv'e pointed out repeatedly my main concern is it gives those implementing the managed decline more ammunition and gives the coach ready made excuses. For the record non of that washes with me it doesn't matter if no one is there the players are paid to put a shift in and the Head Coach is paid for selection, tactics and use of subs. All poor yet again last night and naff all to do with the crowd or lack of it but if we as fans want intensity on the pitch we have to do our bit as well and howl them into it. This season is it one win, one draw and six defeats at home in the League plus a defeat at home in the League Cup this season? (The latter of which we were told doesn't count) I actually feel desperately sorry for anyone who's forked out good money for a season ticket this season. Where's the attraction in trailing down to Ewood every game to see us get beaten? The players need to give the fans something, anything, to latch on to. But they're not doing. To rub salt in the wound, this fraud of a Head Coach who has been complicit in the destruction of the squad and Miller (who imo is playing several levels above his actual ability) have had the gall to infer its the atmosphere in the stadium which is to blame. Finally, if you can't see the reason why more people turned up for a one off game to celebrate our 150th anniversary on a Saturday (against a former manager a few could cast as the pantomime villain) than for a midweek night fixture on the red button at the end of November I despair. As a side issue, was the £17 offer in the Riversjde even publicised? Im on this site every day and wasn't aware of it.

They are tone deaf and are content to keep their heads in the sand and ignore the real issues as long as they keep their cushy number and inflated salaries. There are many reasons for our vanishing supporter base and the vast, vast majority can be laid at the door of the club, the way it's run from top to bottom. With another two midweek home games coming up I feel this whole debate will be regurgitated again when a few thousand are rattling around Ewood.

I think my points about it adding to the problems instead of fighting against them and playing into the hands of the excuse makes and cost cutters are very valid ones. Floating fans and even a load of ST holders aren’t arsed about night games, red button has done them in. Same everywhere just amplified here due to having so few ST holders to start with in a big ground. Its a non-issue to me as there’s nothing that can change it in November.

Our midweek home games since relegation in 2012 have been low and dwindling even since then. And the home form this season has done absolutely nothing to address that. Everything that is wrong at Rovers leads back to the owners and their lackeys, not the fans whether they go or not. Clearly your opinion about the missing fans differs from mine but I was really surprised to see your original post and your criticism of them. It's rare I disagree with anything you post but in my view you are way off the mark here.

£18.75 v Derby and about 18750 home fans turn up, live tv stupid early kick off, added appeal of trying to put one over former manager. Weds night, no tv, on back of beating local gobshites and probably a seasons best performance, so called winnable game and thousands of tickets available at £17 on one stand, CHEAPER than the Derby game. About 8.5k actually turn up. Make it make sense please, somebody.
