  1. Past hour
  2. With Plymouth near relegation in league one I would try and get Mumba in as cover for Alebiousu.
  3. Every 6-12 months, "the project" suddenly changes, as if by magic. Nothing to do with anybody, nobody decides, nobody is to blame, it just happens.... somehow
  4. Good luck for this bot being there today
  5. Seeing as it doesnt look like he's played as a striker so far, thats probably the plan. This lot just wing it from one transfer window to the next don't they.
  6. thanks Maybe Rovers see him as Ohashi type striker, who will run the channels and work rate whilst allowing Gudjohnsen and another one to stay central. Just a thought.
  7. Right now, the kind of sports owners or investment groups who could afford to buy Blackburn Rovers probably don’t even know we exist. And while I don’t expect Venkys to bring this disastrous ownership to an end on their own, I do think they would sell if the right buyer appeared. That’s why our approach as fans needs to be smarter. We should be actively trying to "sell" the club to potential buyers. I don't mean by storming boardrooms with flip charts and demanding to "show me the money!!", but by using modern, creative methods to get noticed by major sports organisations and ownership groups. They need to see that: - we exist and we’re a passionate, historic club - we’re a genuine investment opportunity - the Championship offers a clear route to Premier League money and most importantly - the fans want this to happen We might need to think differently to find ways to make the club go viral. We need to be creative, have attention‑grabbing campaigns that make us fans seen and heard. If they won't come to us, perhaps the aim is for us to go to them. Maybe the message is as simple as: “We are Blackburn Rovers fans. We want YOU to buy this club. Here’s why.”
  8. Lancs Telegraph comments have some more gold Someone complaining on Jacksons review of the year that he is focusing too much on past events Genius forever_roversSubscriber1 hr ago Quite a long and dull article, preoccupied with past events. My first Rovers game was in the 70s and we were in the second division then. I’m proud of my club. We’ve a long history including the top prize of several league titles. The club treats the fans well and the players are down to earth and approachable. I’ll be there today, enjoying the dark humour and match day excitement. I’ll be dreaming of promotion, but not expecting it. We’ve a great top team with Rudy & Val. I believe in them.
  9. Dingles played better second half. Edwards looks quality tho. Fair Play to Edwards and Wolves. Good point there, defensive better and solid. Still only 3 points this season in total. West Ham and Brighton was good game. Welbeck's second pen, just put in the net for FFS. Too fancy and don't convert it. Arsenal's quality shown against Villa Chelsea and Bournemouth were entertaining Everton beat Forest. Its looks like 2 teams from 4 plus Wolves will be then bottom 3 this season Then the title race is between 3 teams. Arsenal and Man City plus maybe Villa if they get signings in.
  10. Nothing should surprise us with this lot.
  11. Barnsley forum https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/reyes-cleary-and-a-very-simple-tactical-point.343073/page-2
  12. Would it surprise anyone if the 5-3-2/3-5-2 was just a sticking plaster to hide a terrible transfer window, and they revert to "Plan A" next summer, after disposing of 2 Championship level left backs in Pickering & Ribeiro?
  13. That team we finished the game with on Monday isn't catching anyone on the break. Slowest side we have had in many a year, and thats saying something.
  14. Would be classic of this regime if we starting signing wingers all of a sudden for 532 formation.
  15. So let's catch them on the break, if they throw the kitchen sink at us.
  16. He is a 17 year old There are not many of those playing first team football at any level, and those that are tend to be built like guys in their early to mid 20s
  17. Not that fussed about Tyjon. If he was that good he'd have been closer to the first team already. If you're refusing contracts before even playing a first team game, that tells me either you or your advisors will be trouble. Its a shame some talented youngsters chase more money from such a young age rather than trying to get first team football. I always think if youre a young prospect, doing well in a lower level first team will put you in the shop window far more than the premier league U21 sides. 3 years after Ash Phillips left, he's still in the championship after 3 loans, but on more money I guess.
  18. Hopefully he can play out wide on both flanks, fill in as striker/second forward and in the pocket, if needed. Not sure how he’ll fit in our current formation, no.
  19. If he was to sign he would be played up front, a Kargbo replacement as I think if he hadn't been injured he would have been used as a striker too.
  20. Imagine being in a world where i just cant imagine us getting anything at home against a side that was in non league just over 2 years ago.
  21. If he signs, it will be interesting to see what we do with him, he is a winger/wide forward, so will the back 3 be ditched later in the season/next summer? Or will they try to convert him to a striker? Cant see them using him as a wing back Personally see this as a data driven pick, and he would be utilised off the bench as a striker, for the rest of this season at least
  22. If you can Rover-ise the local area then great as the regime do everything they can to de-Rover-ise the Ewood estate. Just think of the history timelines and what’s been done to Blues Bar for starters.
  23. Quite excited about the prospect of us signing Reyes Cleary. Quick, direct and with good close control - plus there's more potential to unlock and resale value. Hope we spend on a striker as well, we need players in and around the box willing and able to score goals. Think we will probably look at someone who has lost their way a little and wants a move, or could be another loan if the club feels that Joseph (or someone else) are ready for a role in the first team squad from next season.
  24. Those cardboard cutouts in the stand were much more Yasir’s kind of fan.
  25. Today
  26. They haven't wanted fans to be here since they took over, no matter how much they preach. They all would snap your hands off for everything to be behind closed doors again.
