Croatia first game. A good team

It’s a classic tax planning technique…but VLL isn’t profitable so not sure how much manipulation is realistically possible. 🤷♂️ Overdraft is relatively easy to window-dress as for instance debtors can be pressured to pay up in the run up to the accounting year end, credit taken can increase (keeping cash in the bank) etc. I seem to recall sometime, somewhere reading that football clubs are encouraged have to have a June 30th year end for regulatory/reporting consistency… Venky’s India has a March 31st y/e so that makes consolidation easier at that level.

Oh god it gets worse.

Typical American shite. Its a world cup draw get a legend in talk to them then straight to the draw.
-
As I was saying. This ‘build up’ is perhaps the most farcical thing I have ever seen.
-
The overdraft figure in the accounts is at a single point in time (the date the accounts closed- 31/3/25) - it doesn’t break down how many days at what ever level of usage. You could take the interest charge paid from the P&L (c.£2m) , the interest rate charged (say 7% - Base Plus Margin) & calculate the average balance… So c.£2m paid in interest for the year at say 7% implies a £28.5m average balance through the period for example.

They had a brief spell. Different physical attributes obviously but nobody can tell me Gueye is an improvement on either. His contribution outside of a little bit last season has been virtually nil, nothing. -
Hereford v Newcastle 1972, Ronnie Radford has to be the seminal FA Cup moment? The other moment I remember is Jim Montgomery's unbelievable save for Sunderand against Leeds in the '73 final.

I wouldn't mind us signing Gardner-Hickman on a cheap deal. He has been better than I expected him to be. A decent player in the middle who works well alongside Tronstad. I'm probably in the minority on this, but I like the player and think he is more effective than Travis. - Today

Can’t get anything past me 😁😁

Those games against Villa late 70’s, Coventry early 80’, Live on BBC 84/85 against Southampton and Man Utd will all go down as some of the best memories of FA Cup for me. I still love the competition, even though it’s been decimated by the bigger clubs and FA!

I wonder what the ban would’ve been if a fan had spat at him.

No shit Sherlock.

I think the FIFA peace prize may have been rigged.

Yeah it was a bad 'un. I can understand why Carbone was so incensed by it. What a goal by Carbone, by the way. One of the best opposition goals seen at Ewood for sure. Just to add on the weather front...it is storm like wind and rain out there in Blackburn right now. I've just been drenched getting back home from town. If this carries on throughout the evening, I think the game is at risk of being called off. -

Might as well have kept Jack Vale one thing he was good at or maybe the only thing was coming on to chase down and close games out. Total opposite of Gueye and maybe they wouldn't need to throw De Neve on to do the closing down at the front when he's a wing back ! If Ismael is to persist with these tactics i'd be looking to swap Gueye for anybody who can do that job OR play De Neve as a substitute forward.
