I was sat with a group of Rovers junior players this afternoon and they were laughing at Kargbo and Gueye.

I have been saying this for weeks. He is dreadful and it takes 76 mins to get him off. I would have taken him off at 6 minutes.

To be fair to the referee I reckon 99% of the crowd thought it was a pen, certainly looked in the box in N05. Regardless, we got done by a big straight ball over the top and should have been 2 possibly more down prior to that. Whether it was a pen isn’t really the issue, it’s the fact that we were truly woeful first half. Tavares didn’t get near their midfield, McClean played the first half in his pyjamas

As iv been saying all summer - the board the recruitment the managers team are all cheap replacements with no idea - the club is using this data bollocks for recruitment over the EYE naturaly watching the player which ohashi was watched. Gueye isn't an impact sub - he's poor in that role. He needs to start the game and cause chaos for 70 minutes. Ohashi missed a sitter, refused to shoot TWICE when the GK was miles out of position when they gifted us the ball and bottled it when played through (the Hedges 'chance'). He had an absolute stinker today.

That was absolutely grim. It would’ve been daylight robbery if we’d got a point there. The Hull performance appears to be the exception rather than the norm. Goals are going to be hard to come by. Special mention for Tavares who was spectacularly shit. I thought the early proclamations that he was an upgrade on Travis seemed daft at the time. If he’s not going to put himself about much he needs to really look after the ball. On first viewing I had concerns about how well he’d do when he was under any pressure - today his passing was miles off even when he was afforded time and space. More like a poor man’s John Buckley. Kargbo looks dreadful whenever he starts games. Coming off the bench and running at players he looked somewhat useful. De Neve is now about 7th choice winger. Alebiosu has really grown on me over the last couple of games. A bit raw, but positive in his play. Hope to god Watford, or anyone else for that matter, don’t come in for Hyam. McLoughlin got the right runaround today, the sending off was 100% deserved. Gueye was useful for a period last season, but he’s never going to be any good playing off the last man’s shoulder. He can’t stay onside for one thing, but giving him a ball to his feet 40 yards from goal is mostly going to result in comedy. Nobody can convince me that we wouldn’t be several points better off if we’d had Travis, Dolan and Batth in the side.

Despite the no-shows from Tavares and Kargbo, the six offsides from Yuki and Papi, the complete inability to shackle Sargent, we still had a higher xg than they did! Got to credit the spirit in the second half but boy are we missing a goal scorer.

We've played well in 3 of the 4 games and come away with 3 points. That's hugely concerning. Lots of decisions going against us, which makes things more difficult, but we're just not taking our chances. I hope this Gudjohnsen lad is good because fuck me Ohashi was shite today. He's an impact sub, nothing more.

We don't win many ariel duels in midfield. If they were betting at the bookies, it would be 100-1 on, rovers losing the midfield ariel duel.

I think our home form could be a real problem this year. It hurts to me say it but our crowd is so demoralised and brow beaten by the last 15 years that rather being the 12th man, we seem to be making us play a man short. It used to be a tough place for clubs to come full of passion and quite intimidating, now it must be the quietest home support in the land. It is embarrassing and a result of the last 15 years and breaks my heart.

I'll cede there's a plan but it doesn't coalesce with succeeding in this league.

I would assume it's just the hardcore attending these days anyway? Hard to imagine our attendances fluctuating that much based on isolated results. I would only expect significant changes for midweek cup games against lower league opposition or conversely cup games against a PL team.

Playing Ohashi off the main striker probably is a better bet for me, not that I rate Gueye, but Ohashi is way too slow and weak as the main centre forward.

I've had every emotion with Rovers over the years, tonight's is probably the worst. Acceptance. I accept the team tries, I accept the coaching staff try, I accept that trying to run a day to day Championship club with no owner help is hard. I accept that being arsed going to Ewood is actually falling down my priorities.

Ipswich, Southampton, Leicester, Boro A few of the teams we haven't had to play yet and we've lost 75% of games. The Hull win was against a truly dreadful team. I'm sick of being told I'm overly negative. Travis for Tavares is a monumental downgrade and I'm supposed to believe we've improved? Fuck off. We need to improve drastically and quickly.

Kargbo and Tavares based on all the evidence not just today truly are development players at this level who should be bench fodder at best right now. Speaking of development GUEYE has gone backwards from looking out of his depth with the odd 'surprising' performance to pure shite who cannot still fathom what staying onside is. Piss poor, knew today would be a way bigger test than Hull but even so that non event first half we should have gone in 2 or 3 behind regardless of the non penalty. Talk of the team needing to gel is correct but they knew that when they made so many changes however i fear the heart has been ripped out of it. Plenty huff and puff in the second half when they were happy to sit and wait for the killer strike but never having even remotely tried to replace Szmodics was highlighted again today. Even a poor to average side with a proper striker will take its fair share of points even when being shite.

Yep. Don't get it. Well, I do. Defenders just hate attackers getting ahead of them. But surely, these days, top players know that you do that and it makes it easy for a ref and will be given. In lower leagues, maybe, you might get away with it. In the prem, with VAR, never. But essentially, surely the percentages are against you and coaches must tell players that? The odds of the attacker of scoring a goal vary but you take the chance-your goalie might do the business. And they could miss the pen. But if you get sent off, it's more or less game over. So don't do it. Give your keeper a chance to shine, give their penalty taker a chance to miss. But I do get it also -it's instinctive.

You can bet today's pathetic performance, will take 3 or 4 thousand off the next home game attendance. We'll be lucky to get 7 or 8 thousand for the next home game.
