colin
It is a "friendly" arrest, a formality if you like and as no one has yet been charged with any offence, let alone convicted, it's a bit of a damp squib at the moment.

Tris
BBC "The pair were questioned in connection with allegations of false accounting and conspiracy to defraud." I'm assuming that it's all related to conspiracy to defraud Blackburn Rovers by overcharging for damaged goods (Robbie Savage) and the false accounting bit is trying to hide the fact that they paid BRFC £5.5 million for David Dunn - because they must find that deeply embarassing. philipl
--> QUOTE(Ste B @ Apr 10 2008, 07:37 ) 599279[/snapback] They still keep trying to tell people they are a Big Club ?? Trading in Share now suspended pending an announcement later. "Normal" if your co-Chairman and CEO have both had their collars felt for something like this. Resignations coming? A while ago, Brady was in line for some pretty heavyweight (in more than one sense- she has grown into quite a bumper) CEO positions outside football and then it all went quiet. I wondered at the time if she was not checking out clean when the potential hirers were doing their in-depth diligence.
philipl
The shares of the vehicle Carsen Yeung used to acquire 29% of BIG CLUB have been suspended in HK as well. No resignations and plenty of defience so far. Given the small amounts involved in the transfer, this is likely to be in the careless/stupid category unless it is a spratt to catch a mackerel. modes98
BBC Update It said the police investigation was focussed on "payments to a football agent and two players dating back to 2002/2003". The club added the probe was "in relation to the payment, or possible non-payment of PAYE and National Insurance contributions". They also confirm phillip's Carson Yeung story.
