Yup impressed by the ingame shots and it is really looking like FIFA is going to be good again. I hope that PES is also good so that we have 2 good games on the market.

Aye and as long as they are I have no problem buying both. They are the only games that last me a full year before the next comes out.

I got UEFA 2008 (which was the latest in the FIFA series) for the PS3, had a few go's and thought it was a load of s**t, mind you Pro Evo 2008 was a rushed job and was also lame. Not sure how either of these titles played on the 360 though could have just been the PS3.

My guess is when Pro Evo 2009 hits the shelves it'll be number one again, always preferred em over the FIFA series in the past.

I won't know though, because I won't pay for em.

I am not so sure you do have to pay though. When they say subscribe I took that to mean just sign up.

We shall see anyway.

Could be crap though if they rate the big teams more than the lower teams. It could make the game even more uneven

I was thinking the same thing. They say that they will do all of the teams but I reckon most of it will be made up. Just like when we have Stephen Reid with a big porn star mustache every season and he dosent have one.

Demo for this is out this coming Thursday (11th September) on PSN and Xbox Live.

Not for me its not. My broadband connection died yesterday and the Telco are not going to get an engineer to look at it until tomorrow - at the earliest :(

Reports please from those that do get to play it

Excellent game. It has built upon the excellent FIFA 08. Much more responsive and gameplay has come on leaps and bounds. Love the collasion system and matches actually feel very realistic. Well Done EA and PES is going to have to go some to beat FIFA this year.

For those wanting to download from PSN, unfortunately no European Update due to technical problems, however all is not lost as you can download the demo from the US Store, you will need to create a account with a US address (use any address from google).
