[Archived] Emerton to Leeds?

Recommended Posts

Or flip it around - could this be an Emerton lie ?

To be honest - if Kean forced him out, why did he need to go all the way to Australia ?

Yeah, because if we had to guess which one of those two had told a lie, we'd choose Brett.

You do make yourself look a bit silly sometimes trying to spin the positive.

That'll be it.

Hey, maybe it's really that Kean's been the only one telling the truth all the way along!

Wonder if Junior is still desperate to sign that extension for us?

I think its pretty clear that all the experianced senior players that where at the club when kean took over did let kean know exactly how they felt once it was clear kean was completely out of his depth, hence their quick no questions asked departures or being ostracized from the club, apart from dunn who was bought of with a new deal and coaching role, not sure what Givets deal was he clearly cant stand kean but has managed to keep his place for the most part(im guesing kean had no choice but to keep him as we where massively short on defenders).

Kean had no choice on Givet, the owners intervened!!

Not trying to look for any positive - just trying to point out that not everything in this world is Steve Kean's fault.

If I remember correctly Emerton was quoted as thanking the club for being understanding at the time he left.

You are correct , everything in the world is not Steve Keans' fault but 99% of what as happenend on the pitch at Ewood Park , over the past 18 months , certainly is !

I thought it suited both player and club at the time. Brett wanted to leave and the club was ridding itself of the higher earners in case of the inevitable relegation.

I agree that Kean takes a large amount of responsibility - but surely the players have to look at themselves - as well as the owners for their alleged interference in team affairs (players not being able to play for contractual reasons and allegedly players purchased without the managers agreement).

Why flip it around, surely Emerton was a respected player with us for nearly a decade? Whereas..........

Anyway, it'll probably be just a rumor like most of the stories we get.

I think Kean must take full responsibility for our demise imagine being a player in that team and we are needing to win a game and then the clown in charge puts on a defender?.

Imagine being a player in that team where the clown in charge keeps playing players out of position & imagine being a player in that team where your best players are warming the bench e.g. Rochina,Vucevic etc...

Before anyone says he had his hands tied behind his back with regards to budgets nearly every other manager would have resigned on principal they would have told Venkys where to go the fact he stays on makes him complicit in the demise of this great club.

Just to clarify...

Brett is not returning to England (and has no intention to)

He has just returned to training with Sydney FC after some work on his ankle (that was why he didn't feature in the Australia squad for the World Cup Qualifiers in June)

He is currently building a new house in Sydney and his family are settled etc etc etc.....

any reports otherwise are fictitious.
