Backroom Tom Posted January 23, 2013 Backroom Share Posted January 23, 2013 On the flip side I can only remember Yakubu v Wigan and the goals v Bristol City away as last minute goals we've scored (or did Rochinas come in the last minute vs Leeds?) Edit and Hoilett v Blackpool
McClarky
What about this season at home v leicester, Barnsley and Watford? They were pretty late on.

Leicester was 79th minute. Closest other goal was Ruben's equaliser at Leeds - 84th minute. Added cup goals now, both for and against.
SydneyRover
We are only two points down actually this season.
rog of the rovers
We are only two points down actually this season. If we had of held on in the 4 games this season (Derby - Huddersfield - Burnley - Brighton) and been 8 points better off, we'd be 7th, 3 points off the playoffs. Thats not including throwing away leads at Ipswich (83rd minute), Charlton, a two goal lead at Leeds and a lead at home against Birmingham! Stuart
So it's either fitness, lack of concentration/mental weakness or poor use of substitutions. Or a combination of the three. It certainly isn't bad luck - it's happened too many times.

No I'm subtracting the times when we gained points in the later stages too. You can't just count the points you lost without also counting the points you gained. I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, but showing Rovers in isolation is meaningless unless you compare it to the relative records of other clubs. Even Man Utd let a last gasp goal in last weekend that cost them points, ditto City (against Utd) recently.

Last night was just a daft decision by the freshest player on the pitch.
jim mk2
When Hughes took over - he blamed lack of fitness for lack of concentration. Last night was just a daft decision by lack of intelligence by the freshest player on the pitch. Bit more accurate. Unfortuntately some players are thick as two short planks. Rover_Shaun
The squad lacks both the mentality and the leadership to make an impact in this league. Though it can only take a few shrewd additions to make things click......a speedie and a cowans so to speak
