If Jack had stuck to his own advice he should (and quite easily could) have bought Burnley, Preston, Bolton and Blackpool as well as BRFC, bulldozed the lot into the ground and set up Lancashire County FC and built them somewhere close to J32 of the M6.

And before you comment without putting your brain into gear as usual remember resistance is futile. As time goes on and we become ever weaker more and more will come around to my way of thinking. :tu: Unfortunately negotiating from a position of weakness is not as good as when you have the wealth of the Walkers behind you.

Well at least you have dropped the Lancashire United tag,

Lancashire rovers would be better but still not as appealing as Blackburn Rovers,

the most successful town club in the world

28 hours to kick off and no Bournemouth preview?

23 years since we last played them in the league. I remember the home draw that season in the days when the top flight was a dream and tickets were affordable even to kids with saturday morning jobs

L.E.T stat of the day

As Sam Allardyce’s Rovers were finishing 15th in the Premier League in 2008-09, the Cherries were narrowly avoiding relegation out of the Football League

You could always volunteer to do a preview BandWA. I know you can type.

You think so? Maybe it'll not seem quite so preposterous when we are back to a 5000-6000 average attendance.

If that's the way it has to be then so be it. You can't just dismantle 4-5 historic clubs because you want a bit of success.

And why would the majority of people follow Plastic Lancashire FC? It'd take a lifetime before any kind of real fanbase formed. People need to form an attachment to a football club. That 1875 on the clubs crest means something to many. Otherwise everyone would be a Utd fan.

Leave it. Theno knows it's never going to happen but he loves keeping on teasing about it. It's his wicked sense of humour.
