I will continue to support the club and be STH and enjoying going Ewood Park, buying club merchandise, etc. Showing any potential new owner that there is a fan base here if the current owners ever sell it. What I won't do like you do regular is slagged off our supporters. Maybe that the problem with you So you'll continue to subsidise the current ownership and do nothing else. Got it. 1 Quote

And you still slagged off of Rovers supporters who continue to support their club through good and bad times by spending their hard earned money on their club they support? Whilst you are on the other side of the world slagging them off! 🤔 Quote

Whilst you are on the other side of the world slagging them off! 🤔 You've already said this about 50 times. What's the point you're trying to make? I'm entitled to voice my opinion on the embarrassing lack of action from the match going fans in the face of everything that's happened in just the last three seasons alone, nevermind the last 15 years. What have you done to push back against the situatation? Just turning up and remaining silent makes you complicit if anything. 1 Quote

The only thing I'm complicit in is supporting my team, being a proud Rover and my love for my club. Quote

In the past WATR have offered season ticket ideas that they believe would be of benefit to fans. In no way was it aimed at increasing club revenue. Those ideas have been in the public domain for a long time. Apart from some WATR reps attending a meeting about the 150th anniversary ( a fairly general meeting with BandD council and other groups ), there has been no contact from the club since the end of January when WATR issued their statement asking the owners to sell the club. WATR are very much on the offensive I can assure you. Members of WATR should know what's going on. We get enough silence and confusion from the club, we don't need that from the supporters trust as well. So we're on the offensive, good 👍 1 Quote
RoversClitheroe Posted March 15 Posted March 15 We need much more from the trust. More transparency, more action. Quote
Forever Blue Posted March 15 Posted March 15 What our club needs right now, more than anything, is a ‘critical friend’ That’ll learn ‘em 1 Quote
Bethnal Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Trust board members reading - I’ve rejoined, I’ve had virtually no contact other than the statement and a follow-up statement. I’ve no idea what your plan is and there is an overwhelming sense of apathy in the fanbase. There is a vacuum in the support and you’re not stepping in. When is your next meeting with members to discuss your approach, strategy and plans? How should members communicate with you? You spoke of wanting to communicate with supporters and raise the profile of your actions. Why have you remained silent since your statements? Let’s open up the communications, people want to engage with you and help, but you’ve given us nothing to go on. 6 Quote
StHelensRover Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I also recently joined the Trust (when Eustace walked and the statement was put out). I also haven't had any correspondence/updates as yet. I agree with above poster - While it might seem cynical to do so, they need to be tapping into the anger of the fanbase at the moment due to the on-pitch stuff, 'coz we know the bigger picture is the off-pitch stuff. There needs to be some updates, meetings, plans of action and also some engagement fans to try and recruit more members. 3 Quote

Scotty1991 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Did the trust ever get a response to the letter they wrote to the board after the January circus? Quote
StHelensRover Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Glad someone has shared this or otherwise I wouldn't know. I got rid of Facebook and Twitter a few months back for different reasons. WATR would do well to send emails about this stuff and not just rely on people who have paid to be involved seeing tweets about it. Or maybe find a way to send notifications via WhatsApp like Rovers are able to do. 1 Quote

StHelensRover Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I meant a WhatsApp channel rather than a group, I think a large group chat would be too chaotic and cumbersome. WhatsApp channels are things you can subscribe to that just send you updates via notifications, you can't reply to them. Pretty handy. 1 Quote
