chaddyrovers Posted December 12 Posted December 12 The World Cup ticket pricing for games is a fecking joke. 4 times more expensive than the last World Cup pricing, a lot of regular fans who attend international games priced out of attend them Quote
roversfan99 Posted December 12 Posted December 12 Football sadly has long ceased to become a game directed for the benefit of the fans. Prices, kick off times, further attempts at greed, we are just collateral damage. 2 Quote

FIFA's ticket price is ridiculous and unnecessary Quote
roversfan99 Posted December 12 Posted December 12 Was a general comment about the state of football. Specific to World Cups, also consider expanding the tournament diluting the quality for a money grab and selling out to countries with shameful human rights records. Quote
chaddyrovers Posted December 12 Posted December 12 (edited) We debated all that before and dont want to get into another debate about kick offs, etc, etc as it as nothing with my original point about FIFA decision to put their ticket prices for England fan members(and other nations) over 4 times the price compare to the Qatar world cup @roversfan99 Edited December 12 by chaddyrovers Quote

It's so pathetic. What a bunch of non entities these people are. What an absolutely sad and pathetic existence they have whereby they'll do anything for financial reward. Society needs to rally against this and rid ourselves of these empty vessels. It's totally disgusting that being a complete cunt is not only socially acceptable but is encouraged and rewarded. 2 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted Friday at 19:44 Posted Friday at 19:44 At some point surely there will be a movement to leave FIFA. Its ludicrously corrupt. 1 1 Quote

Spain, Argentina Brazil all sit in our path. Providing they top their groups Well tbh its what you expect at a world cup to have to play at least 3 top teams. England have been very fortunate in recent tournament draws. Great opportunity to improve our appalling record at major tournaments against the top 10 or so sides. Think if you go back 30 years we've managed to beat those sides 5 times (Spain & Netherlands in 96, Germany 2000, Germany in 2021, Netherlands in 2024) In that time we have managed to lose to the top sides 10 times (Germany x2, Argentina, Brazil, Italyx2, Spain, Portugal x3) Quote

The average NBA ticket price is £100, NFL is £120 with concerts being smuch steeper, so spending big money on a once in a lifetime event won't phase an American populace getting more and more interested in watching football. FIFA know this so have priced accordingly. It's not right, but they have a captive audience. Also factor in that the country has immigrants from everywhere who also want to see their country play, and that football fans in America tend to be higher than average earners you have a recipe for FIFA to maximise profits. 1 1 Quote

Thanks for sharing. I know NBA tickets are expensive as I looked into pre covid and they were too high for me. Lakers NBA tickets are expensive anyway Quote
jodrell Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago For me I hope it's a complete flop and it's like that world club thing when they had to give tickets away. 1 Quote

The tickets and visiting the US are so so expensive in the midst of a global cost of living crisis I do wonder if the whole character of the tournament will further deteriorate. Will it be mostly rich Americans, celebrities etc, and not many actual home fans? I don't imagine too many empty stadiums, but I expect the atmosphere might be a bit muted and shit. Managing to successfully hold the last 3 world cups in post-Crimean invasion Russia, human rights crushing Qatar, and now daylight robbery in Trumps America is a real hatrick of evil. Quote
