  1. I hope we have some clause for an England call up. One thing that struck me is he's looking far better at being goal side on a deeper position and reading interceptions, which must make him desirable for someone like City, its very Rodri esque, which is best compliment I can pay him. I sat near to the Newcastle and Spurs scouts at the Watford home game, they must be kicking themselves now. Peanuts for Raya, now worth £40 million, relative peanuts for Adam now worth £40 million and rising. Tom Cairney for £3 million later he's captaining a Premier League side and worth £20 million all because we have captives who flog to pay their tab.
  2. This baffles me too, its pretty much been the same reported losses for about 10 years, no matter what. I am sure someone more accounts savvy will be able to explain, but it feels to the cynic in me this is golden figure for losses for some some of tax benefit/ relief on the books somewhere within the conglomerate and why it's beneficial to have Venkys London Ltd as an accounts tool. Anyway, I don't think we will spend much if anything because it's going to service the running costs, despite it probably being the healthiest chunk of incoming transfer fees in years, with Wharton, Raya and likely Szmodics perhaps ever? Not heard a peep on Maguire have we since the shambles. We need at least 6 or 7 first teamers and a giant red button and a huge clock/alarm on the PC so we can't "forget" to complete the signings we do convince to come. Starts with a new keeper, I'd want a new RB and LB, although I don't think Pickering is as bad as is made out. A Winger who goes to the byline, 2 new strikers just to start.
  3. Some of their fans I know were saying about big chunks of loans to be repaid upon relegation. Could we about to see Pace make a run for it?
  4. This is what success looks like in 2024 Blackburn Rovers. A group of players who've cried about the fans, celebrating like we've won something, because our 3rd win in 18 stopped us dropping into the third tier. Please we've stayed up obviously, it was a cracking result and the fans should be having a few, I know I have out of relief. Only Sammie should be on the ale the rest should be sloping off and taking a hard look.in the mirror and not just at each others abs.
  5. As speeeeeedie said further up , I'm also a bit puzzled. He hasn't really made me think we've got a good one here, but he hasn't had a window and picked up on the back of a player mutiny and awful awful transfer window. Apart from Newcastle and Sunderland, where I think we were excellent, struggled to see a approach to win a game. Very much reminds me of playing teams like Northampton in League 1, pack the 18 yard box and hope for the bounce of the ball, or in our case magic from Sammie. He's achieved the clubs aim, but it's not been some miracle undertaking, he's contributed a lot towards us not gathering enough points, despite a 7 point cushion and players back from injury, to being, at 1 stage today, 1 Leicester goal from League 1. That being said, take away Szmodics and it's a poor squad , that JDT overachieved with, until he was let down repeatedly. Eustace has his work cut out, if he can keep us up comfortably next year, he will have done a hell of a job, unless we can somehow keep the run going and find another 20 goal a season striker again. He gets the summer, only fair he gets the chance to try and polish the turd with his hands behind his back. Ultimately it's impossible to judge any manager here, we are rotten from the top, set up to fail and for mediocrity to be celebrated as over achievement for as long as the buffoons keep the club in its paralysed state with clowns in charge. Good luck anyone who wants to better use your swimming against the tide.
  6. Thank the lord for Szmodics. Did not expect us to look after ourselves. Glad this season is over an absolute failure of epic proportions (unless your Waggott , in which case, Academy Player sold, tick, stayed up, tick) Delighted we won and that we survived. Birmingham going down is sweet after 2017 and a horrible lot of fans. Enjoy your summer fellow Rovers. Who knows what the summer will bring, I somehow doubt it'll be Maguire....
  7. I've been quite rational all week. Not this morning , stomachs in knots. Just got a very bad feeling we are going to be one of those stories, with the byline "not been in bottom 3 all season..." An early Hull or Norwich goal pleaaaaaaase
  8. Is that in the other games? If so I agree, I don't think we'll beat Leicester. I'm going for 3-1 Leicester , but Brum and Plymouth to both only get a point. Let's hope you're correct and we can take care of it ourselves, but I think that ship sailed in the last 2 home games.
  9. Has1 club ever managed so many negative news stories about their own fans in their years in the top flight? Glad the world sees them as we always knew them. Never known a fanbase with a greater proportion of knuckledraggers , very insular mentality at that end of the road, ugly lot too.
  10. I've a feeling we'll win today. Coventry should be half on the beach, after the Lord mayor's show , midweek game etc etc. With all that in our favour and a must win there are no excuses. Szmodics brace 2-0 Rovers COYB. #FOV
  11. It's a forum. For what it's worth I have given Eustace and the players credit where its due. After those 2 wins. I'm not calling for his head , but I'm struggling to see anything to inspire confidence going forward, he hasn't even had a window, but with our owners that's worth nothing anyway. He's been very underwhelming so far, once you look past the draws he set out for early on. We all support Rovers through thick and thin, or we wouldn't be on here, so don't patronise. I an concerned we have just had 3 put past us in a must not lose game, with individual errors again, just like Bristol City.
  12. You must have forgotten the defeats at Birmingham, Bristol City, Swansea, the limp home games against Millwall and Plymouth, the hiding we took today....the total lack of any ambution beyond a 0-0 against most sides, amazing what 2 surprise away wins against the form book does to the brain eh??
  13. I don't expect him to chuck his players under the bus (they prefer to do that to their own manager). However, I massively get your point. It's endemic of the Academy culture here. Read the room Mr Eustace, at least show you expect better. Should have made a statement at HT v Bristol City with Hyam, that would have been strong management and you'd hope send a message. I am sure the club will wheel out one of the "leadership committe" to be interviewed this week . We go again, we'll put things right, it was JDTs fault he shouted at us etc etc etc. Best thing that ever happened to him was being sacked by Birmingham and replaced with Rooney. Its given him mythical status. The squad he left is thankfully even worse than the one he's helped guide towards the bottom 3.
  14. Few to no leaders. When I was playing there would be players on your own team you'd be more afraid of than the opposition because you don't want to drop your standards and feel their backlash. They would through force of will and personality organise on the pitch and drag you out the shit. We haven't had leaders since Big Sam left. You need 4 or 5 in in a championship team. I reckon we could scrape 2. Not many out their either and we certainly wouldn't be in for them under these clowns.
  15. This group of dossers can only play when nothing is expected of them. Millwall away last year, Newcastle at home and Leeds away.
  16. That's the Championship. Glad they showed some balls . I've called Eustace a lot, but he got a response after Tuesday. Let's not do a Rovers and lose the next 3 eh...
  17. He was brought in with 2 remits. To keep us up and distract us from the off field nonsense. For all the talk of being harder to beat etc, we are closer to the bottom 3 than when he took over and this is with players back from injury . We look less likely to win games and a few exceptions aside where I have to give credit, we've looked a different type of bad, let's get it right, if Plymouth or Millwall had taken their chances he would be firmly in the dud category. All from a bloke who actually has the players on his side. We set up like a league 2 team away to a prem team hoping for a replay and I don't think this is horses for courses. I think this is 46 games next year with him if we stay up.
  18. John Eusless and his Rubber Dinghy Men, sailed by captain calamity. Could well have two Eustace managed sides going down in the same season.
  19. "Peace in our time" Utter bollocks, haven't they always been able to provide funding if required so long as they matched it? Simple fact, they won't even pay for a power washer. No further money needed since Wharton sold. No guarantee , even in April that season ticket prices will be enticing. Venkys our only saviours according to Suhail *ahem* Steve Any responses on, what there is no accountability at the club, no apology for embarrassing transfer window ? Why no communication after March 12th for an age from the club? Why this reassurance wasn't in that statement. Why Suhail won't meet fans ? Why we can't clean our ground? Does Steve still think selling Brockhall for housing was the future? Any plans for club to get it back? Maguire deal sown up now ....? Why various media outlets paint a very different picture? Why in April are season tickets still at draft stage? Why does he think fan takeovers work better than his match day plans? How was he so wrong about his assurances last time? (Precedent set, no issues...) Why did Maguire get told deal off ? Where that message come from and why? Can he point to any successes how hes improved the club? Why is he qualified to be CEO of this club? When will he frigg off?
  20. JRC and Trondstad really controlled that game. Delighted. Makes a huge difference.
  21. Good find. That's a looong pre-season of slash, sell and burn then.
  22. WATR reiterated that, subject to legal constraints, they wanted the Club to explain the finances better and in more detail with supporters and that explanations as to Indian High Court hearings and the processes were vital to help ensure clarity and to counter all the rumours that occur when there is a communication void. I presume WATR are banging on Waggotts door right now....?
  23. I love this town. I love this club..let's g9 for 3 points tomorrow Mr Eustace. I am so proud of where I come from. Please show the same.. We are THE ROVERS WE ARE BLACKBURN THIS IS LANCASHIRE FUCK VENKYS
  24. Patrick had a bright idea, a moment of pure clarity. He shared it with the world. Unfortunately Patrick was thick as fuck.
