  1. Glad Michael Taylor took Orr out.
  2. From the centenary celebrations. A Rovers postmark and label for envelopes , centenary programme (remember them) with better items for sale than we have now and excellent century of soccer by a youthful Harry Berry.
  3. It's too soon to tell. We've taken a gamble in a league where know how counts for a lot. None of us know how half this team will get on. Not to dismiss the question, but just as I can't write a player off after 5 games, I can't suddenly think we've signed some improvements. Let's assess after a dozen games. Fir what its worth I'll plump for after 46 games we will finish lower than last year which is all that matters really. We had the chances the last 4 January's.
  4. I don't know what kind of team we are yet but our 1st XI is competitive, its when those dark nights Sat, Tues cime that worries me, nothing in the Championship should scare us at home. Set up to hit them on the break and a bit of after Lord Mayor's show for Ipswich 1-1.
  5. With the club openly touting Tronstad, if he doesn't go on January, he's going to be protecting himself for a new move in the summer, so however you look at it we're likely to not have Tronstad 100% anyway, desperate times.
  6. Agree, 1 by decapitation, 1 by a thousand cuts. Same result.
  7. My only gripe, is in the interview with the LET he's openly calling it a stop gap before he finds something else and admits he's learning on the job. It reads as though this was hastily offered to him. Perhaps he's just too honest. It's definitely jobs for the boys but that is football it's a boys club, a lot of the time. Bigger fish to fry in terms of criticism of the club. Ultimately, I don't think it's a role that's too taxing, he should be able enough to judge the right level a player should be playing at and what support they need. Personally I'd give it to @KentExile who's basically doing half the job anyway
  8. You're so negative ! Get behind the boys and show some optimism. Our Norwegian Midfielder is a time travelling psychic FFS. Fed up of these conspiracies. Rudy said it was family reasons, everyone wants to live in Derbyshire we can't compete with the peak district.
  9. If we did they weren't very good. Think most of our loans out last year flopped.
  10. If only we had a proper local journalist who could research things like this, question the differences and let people make their own mind up who is telling the truth or why one if the parties would lie.
  11. You're not. But he still needs shooting (metaphorically) Wouldn't let any of the strikers he's signed do it though.
  12. I'm not going to condemn him for at least engaging , feels very much like Suhail has tapped him in the shoulder and told him time to do your job human shield. It is the climate created that has led to our manager (twice) and then a load of players wanting out after each Jan. The climate of no ambition, that's he's happy to feed into as he plays horse trading , like a Benin Del Boy trying to charge a mark up on some dodgy Belgian left backs he picked up on the cheap, genuine top flight experience, cushty darlin'* *6 sub appearances in Luxembourg
  13. Best Interests of the Club? Players who are committed? Real pro, you hypocritical twat
  14. We've also never been beaten at home by Barry Town or lost to Llanelli after being 2-0 up in competive games. Dave won't recall that as it was pre takeover.
  15. I hope you're right. It's a huge ask but we won't know until about 15-20 games in. We might be behind the 8 ball by the time they do, if they do gel. You can't beat experience of this league though, it's what gets you through 46 games. We've already seen with the signings from overseas this season and last that the relentless nature of the Championship has taken its toll, not even Ohashi who has the energy of a duracell bunny could cope. Sunderland may be an exception, but they spent on very good players. I'm also concerned hugely we have no leaders and I think like with Kean this is by design. Regardless of the ability of the players we need leaders on the pitch. It's important to read another opinion, I don't agree on performances per se, i think Hull aside , average at best, ok outside both boxes in parts , but sure we both agree it would be nice to be a normal club where that's the main debating point!
  16. Cracking start to the weekend. Totally deserved scoreline
  17. Genuinely Chaddy since I can remember their only aim has to be 'play the West ham way'. Which is why they have done the square root of f all as a club until they appointed someone who didn't.
  18. Our proud name reduced to a fixture like that. Wonder what would happen if u wanted to sponsor a matchday under I don't know...Raos Out.com ?
  19. Morton. That's sticks in the throat. I saw nothing other than a sideways and backwards passing new gen footballer, offered nothing.
  20. That group of fans are self-interested. They want Ewood with 1k on so they can say they were there and scream platitudes like thick and thin and get behind the boys to give them superiority. They see this as a test of their credentials. You can of course simultaneously support the players and hate the owners. I guess it's like having children , why would you want anything but the best and believe they deserve anything but the best , they are special in your eyes at least. Sadly we have some who think Venkys are Mary Poppins.
