Popular Post Groundhog Posted 5 hours ago Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Occam's Razor looms large - Weeds growing out of the crumbling steps on the Riverside, mould and moss on the gantries above the Darwen and Blackburn End, no Sky Sports in the blues bar, the botched Anniversary Kit, no hot food for press, doesn't take a genius to work out there's an issue. Regarding the pitch, it almost doesn't matter, the latest chapter in the Venky's book of bullshit - just add it to the long list. This is why fans are at their wit's end, it's the wafer-thin mint that tips us over the edge. Rovers are a cost-cutting exercise, not a football club. Like Ismael said today, there's lots of "heads of" at the club, it points to no accountability and no solid structure emanating from the top down. I go to games with my 76 year old father, we both live over an hour away, it's been our tradition ever since I moved back up north in 2007, we have a pub lunch and a pint or two, and enjoy getting away for the afternoon. We dissect the game long into the week, and repeat come the next fixture. For the first time this Saturday, since I started supporting Rovers in '92, we actually came to blows leaving the ground and had an unsavoury argument regarding the running of the club. Tensions were a little high due to a wasted afternoon - we've since made up and laughed it off - but it highlighted for me the sheer frustration and desolate feeling this latest drama has created. It's almost poetic in a way that the pitch has failed like this, the very thing needed to actually play the game. It's a perfect, visible representation of the owner's neglect. scotchrover Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- the only way to make your voice heard is to stop buying anything off them. Until Ewood is completely empty for a couple of matches, they won’t listen. If it’s completely empty, the penny might finally drop in India, that they’re not wanted. #NAPMuntilVenkysGo 8 Quote

Attending Ewood now feels like a duty and a chore rather than a positive experience that I look forward to and this is all down to the muppets who run this club. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than not renewing my ST or boycotting fixtures should there be a formal call from the coalition / Trust / LT so that everyone is up for it. We need a totally empty stadium to send a clear message that enough is enough. 7 Quote

If the stadium gets emptied, Suhail WILL have to ask for more money. At that point, Mrs Desai might wonder what’s going on. Edited 4 hours ago by scotchrover Quote

John Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The pitch is clearly a problem, everyone can see it, yet there’s still been no comment or statement from the club about what they’re doing to fix it. You’d think at the very least they’d acknowledge it and outline a plan, as stated by VI today. The silence - while not surprising at all - is unbelievable at this point. 2 Quote

The silence befits this awful iteration of BRFC. 4 Quote
Elrovers Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) I’ve travelled to India once and I’ve learnt a lot about the culture down there. They are really chilled and relaxed, for example if they’re working they would be on a phone call whilst doing their job, you will not get that here in England. It’ll be a straight sack. Another thing is they don’t give a toss about anything. Was at the train station, I would see people walking on the rail tracks to take a shortcut to somewhere and no one would stop them. If they were to die, no one would care either. Finally, they do anything for money. I have a house over there, I needed the sockets sorting out because my phone wouldn’t charge. Sorted out an electrician, came within an hour. Let’s be honest, in England it would take days for an electrician to come. They sorted out my issue within at least 30 minutes. It was late at night too and they still came. So any time they would come, especially if it was for money. That’s all they care about even if their life is at risk. So to conclude, venkys just see us as a business and don’t give a flying f**k about us. All these court case delays, they couldn’t care less, they’re probably chilled about it. It’ll be a long time for them to sell us unfortunately. Edited 2 hours ago by Elrovers Quote

Sure a lot feel the same way where Venkys (and some other people) are concerned. The problem on here is people are too nice when you need to get down in the gutter with them. As always though you never do what it takes and it's the same old, same old. Baa baa Blackburn sheep. Why do I even bother? Edited 54 minutes ago by Vinjay Quote
