I imagine Rovers would be a much more attractive proposition to potential new owners if we were in the Premiership. We're a more attractive proposition now in the Championship, if the owners would agree to sell us for our actual worth. 1 Quote

What about if they just see it as a trinket or line in their P&L? You're just being argumentative for the sake of it here. I dont KNOW for certain, it's my opinion. Also hasn't the suggestion come recently from either Nixon or Suhail they want £200m ish or have I completely imagined that? Quote
roverandout Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I'd rather the club get relegated because of financial issues and venkys be forced to sell than plod along midtable every season Quote

From my memory, whenever anyone at the club has been asked the answer has been “we’re not for sale”. This is probably the wrong thread for this, but that’s partly why I’d focus all efforts, protests, actions etc towards finding new owners. Aka, if you get can’t get any cooperation from the Rao’s, maybe someone with a lot of money, influence etc might have more luck. Quote

How can anyone want to end this terrible tenure and expect them to be ambitious at the same time? Complete contradictions. Getting money for players back into the total budget for running the club, saves the need to go cap in hand to the cunts. I want us to wipe our own face, to cut our own cloth accordingly, even if it impacts any sort of ambition we may for promotion. After some thought, I do see now what you are saying. And agreed that all efforts should be on finding new owners. Some would argue that the removal of Pasha could move this along. But I don’t see your solutions working –ie. washing our face, success with minimal funding in this division thus making us more attractive to potential buyers. -The Raos/Pasha would just be delighted that things can run along with no input. -There would still be the impediment that thus far, the Raos have rejected all offers out of hand. -There would still be the impediment that they want to recover their loss The other ways would appear to be: -Promotion, lots of cash and an exit -Adverse publicity in India or anything that makes their lives uncomfortable -Relegation, administration -Some method of the supposed 200m being written off Edited 1 hour ago by aletheia Quote

I think that’s probably based on the assumption they’d want all their money back. As of March ‘24 this was £220.1 million - £86.1 invested (I use that term loosely) in shares and £134 million advanced (ie loans). Quote
