Upside Down Posted Monday at 21:39 Posted Monday at 21:39 I'd gladly chip in for a mural that says "FUCK OFF VENKYS" in 10 foot high letters. 9 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted Monday at 22:37 Posted Monday at 22:37 Rochdale Town Centre has just had some fabulous gable end murals painted Some of those artists would do a great job. 1 Quote

How do you go about getting it set up. Permission from the homeowners presumably for a start? Quote

My ex was one of the artists for that. She’s recently done the skate park at Great Harwood too. I’ll try and glean some info. 3 Quote

Lancaster Rover Posted yesterday at 07:17 Posted yesterday at 07:17 There have been lots done in Morecambe, these have been done by Deco Publique who organise the Festival of Making and are based in the Making Rooms by the Museum. I‘m sure they’d have lots of information on the planning side of things 1 Quote

... Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago Who would you like to see on a mural? I'd like to see Shearers signature celebration, #9. Jack walker lifting the Cup Something from yesteryear Something unique to us displaying the artists skill and intuition perhaps Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago The first two are from yesteryear unfortunately. Quote

Backroom Mike E Posted 19 hours ago Backroom Posted 19 hours ago ‘I just turned up and did the mural, no idea how it works behind the scenes’. Useless as ever. Quote

TugaysMarlboro Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago You could possibly contact prism in the town centre. They have a mural at the back of their building + have commissioned others in the area too. Jamie Holman is likely a good bet to contact. 1 Quote
KidderStreetNoise Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago We once got a quote from here: https://www.themuralartists.com/ For the side of the house that you can see from the fox & hounds beer garden. Think it was close to £3,000 with plant hire. Was the image of Jack Walker & Shearer with the Premier League trophy. Quote

... Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago I don't think raising 2-3k would be too difficult tbh especially that people can get some joy out of it once completed, also adds to atmosphere. I think in the new I wouldn't mind spear heading the idea if others would like to jump onboard Quote
... Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago Reason why all this has come about for me personally, honestly? Just want a sense of pride back in the area. If people are begrudgingly hauling their backsides down there atleast try and keep the flicker of pride alight some way somehow. Was driving down Alan Shearer way today.... Why not have some Rovers flags flying high from each lamp post (did it with St George's!) Or even something displayed on the lamp posts (not sure of their name) The area closest the ground needs some "Roverising" Quote

After all they did say they would cherish Jack’s legacy, let’s see if they do then. I won’t hold my breath that they give permission!! 1 Quote

The murals aren't their decision or permission only thing that lends itself to them is copyright but I'm pretty sure the town of Blackburn holds more weight in ownership to anything that goes on the walls more than they ever will Quote
levi Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago If this does happen please don't get whoever did the one near the fox and hounds to do it as that's terrible Quote
