  1. I can't see any reference to Eustace being behind this ? What has he done ?
  2. No, I have no evidence as to his level of popularity. I wondered why one poster had described him as unpopular and it seems that was his own personal feelings towards the manager, which of course he is entitled to. He hasn't been manager for more than a couple of months or so ; I would guess most supporters will want to give him a fair crack of the whip before they decide.
  3. I think they have to go for the win - which may possibly suit us.
  4. Whilst I admire your idealism I think it flies in the face of what happens in the real world.
  5. Presumably that will be a no brainer for a number of other clubs as well ? Rumours on the Rotherham fans website of him going to Everton as the back up to Pickford.
  6. You do know that JDT's superb first season resulted in 69 points, exactly the same as Tony Mowbray the previous season ?
  7. However much ambition an owner might have I don't think it's realistic to imagine that a club in the Championship could match an offer from a Premier League club if that club really wanted the player. There's also the question of the lure of the Premier League which for some players - maybe more their families and representatives - will override considerations of what might be in the best long term interests of the player.
  8. But if he wouldn't have signed a contract at all without that release clause he could have walked for next to nothing.
  9. How did the club deal with Phillips' transition to being professional in a poor way ?
  10. Aren't you one of the posters who keeps calling on the club to "Increase Turnover " ? Yet here you call for the club to turn their noses up at the prospect of increased ticket sales ?
  11. Nowhere have I negated the overall impact of their incompetence. But that began in 2010 with the dismissal of Allardyce and his replacement by Kean. The situation that those now employed at Ewood Park now face requires some very difficult decisions by them.
  12. As far as I know the only people talking about being fair to the owners are you and Steve Waggott ? When I say be fair to the club I mean the people at Ewood Park.
  13. No - let's be realistic about the position that the employees at Ewood Park were placed in. I'm not interested in defending the owners who are useless.
  14. Ok - so you accept that the club handled the departure of one of the two Academy quality graduates was handled properly. But what would you have done with Wharton with all the pressure coming from India ?
