    Bowyer: Our Performance Level Dropped

    vdb

After Rovers 1-1 draw against Brentford manager Gary Bowyer felt that the performance levels of the Rovers players had dropped from the standards set in previous games, talking at his after match press conference Bowyer said

“A world class save has stopped us from winning but on a performance level, it’s not the standards we’ve met all season".

“But we showed a different side to us in the sense that we had to dig in – and I thought we did that.

“But performance-wise, we’ve played a lot better this season, for sure.

“I was disappointed with how we went about it in the first 20-25 minutes but I thought we got some energy once we scored.

“At half-time we said to them they had to perform better – there was no doubt about that. We knew that we could – and I thought we did in the second half.â€

Rovers have a 2 week International break and are next in action against Preston on 21st November 2015.
