  1. You make 100% sense. I’m expecting something closer to 0-0, definitely not 5-1, or 0-5. We very well may lose, but I expect our lads will give a great account of themselves at Elland. COYB!
  2. No doubt; Rovers are the Green Bay Packers of the EFL. my only point was, there are clubs elsewhere who have fallen upon tough times, yet, their fanbases are as rabid as ever: I have no doubt our fans equal the zeal of those I mentioned.
  3. Truth; what a sobering thought this is. Why the wonderful fans we have, continue to show up, I do not know. My hat is off to them. We have better fans, than we have admin, players & coaches. truthfully, I’ve wondered how Portsmouth, Sunderland, Derby, etc, continue to draw the crowds they do.
  4. I know how frustrated I am; I cannot begin to imagine how frustrated some of you are, who have faithfully supported the club for 30, 40, or 50 years.
  5. In 2017, Rovers were relegated, with 5 more draws than we have today. With four games to play, it’s impossible to achieve that many draws. With our form since Eustace came on, we cannot expect any more than one win. Maybe not even that. So, I cannot see where we get 51 points. When I consider our roster in 2017- Steele, Raya, Graham, Conway, Mulgrew, Lenihan, etc- we had better players on the whole then, than we do now. it’s true some were older & on their last legs, but they were fighters, beating Brentford away in the finale. The most depressing thing to me this year, has been the selling off of Ash Phillips & Adam… any young player with ability & promise, gets sold off. To top it off, ESPN+ has Leeds/Rovers on this weekend. What a joke. t’s all so depressing, I don’t even want to think about it anymore.
  6. I don’t see re-signing Gally or Dolan. But if I re-signed either, it would be Dolan.
  7. We picked a heckuva time to turn in the worst performance of the season. Thankfully, I had to work all day, & missed it. Any word on if the coaches & players refuse their pay this week? 😏 We very well could go down. The only thing that will keep us up, is the dross below us. I’m persuaded it won’t be Rovers’ skill & hard work.
  8. What year was this? I am seeing 1981… what a close race that was. My first year of college; I had never even heard of Blackburn Rovers at this time, way deep in the piney woods of East Texas.
  9. So, it appears Bristol City haven’t played in the top-flight since 1980? There’s still a mathematical shot at playoff places, until they lose, or Norwich wins. Not much hope to hang onto there. But enough that they will give Rovers the best effort they have tomorrow.
  10. Rovers have 46 pts; Todays games: Millwall, 44 pts/Leicester; Plymouth, 44/QPR, 46; PNE/Hud, 43; ShefWed, 42 pts/Norwich. I would breathe a lot easier, if Hud & SW both lose. Millwall & Plymouth both losing at home appears unlikely; draws would be preferable. One thing I’ve learned in my relatively short time as Rovers fan, don’t count on Preston to do anything that would benefit us.
  11. We have reasons to be optimistic. Our defending has been solid since Eustace’s arrival; the bench has got stronger, with more players coming back; & Rovers seem to have responded better to Eustace’s optimism. I appreciated Tomasson, but at the end, he was becoming negative, and sounded bitter. Nobody wants to play like that. Footie needs to be fun, enjoyable. winning- and sometimes scoring a draw (for example, @Preston & Cardiff, & vs Norwich & So’ton) is much more enjoyable than what we were going through. COYB!
  12. Glad to hear positive comments, re: Brittain, Markanday, Wharton
  13. Adams & Smallbone, imo better than who they replace
  14. I’d say a good result- so far. Lots of work left to do, but keeping the saints scoreless at HT is impressive.
  15. You have the advantage of me; never heard of either one.
  16. All I’ve got today is bbc… comment was game delay, Szmodics injury it appears he stayed in the game
  17. “A girl like you”? that’s the extent of my Smith’s knowledge, I’m 62, therefore, more a 80’s guy, m’self (ha, Smithereen’s)
  18. Well, Rotherham didn’t help themselves, or us, today. Plymouth, gains within a point of us, ugh. We gotta keep that gap with the other catfish clubs.
  19. Y’all talk about Cup ties…I never heard the phrase, Cup draws. just saying. USED to wear a tie? I wore a tie to my job for 31 years. It was required Court attire. And, I still wear a tie occasionally. I cannot quit after so many years. Besides, I have about 30 of ‘em 😅
  20. Predicting these games is an impossible task, but here’s the matchups: Rovers (45 pts) vs Saints; Stoke (45) vs WBA; Hud (40) vs Millwall (44); Leicester vs Brum (42); Roth (23) vs pilgrims (41). If Rovers get even a point, it’s a boost. Obviously we need baggies, foxes, & Rotherham to win. Don’t count on Rotherham. I don’t want to see Hud get any closer, but we don’t need Millwall to get ahead of us. A tie might be best there.
  21. Why do we yanks & rebs here in the good ol’ U.S.A. not say, “bugger off”?! 😂 I’m going to make a point to start saying it more often, lol
