  1. 2 very organised teams not giving up much to each other. I'm very biased of course but I wouldn't swap any player that I saw on that pitch tonight for any of ours. Good goal from Riis tbf. He's a bit of a donkey at the same time he'd be a decent signing on a free considering we have feck all money to spend. One thing I'll give to Preston... They make more of an effort with their ground than our lot do. Not neglected like our shower in charge. I left bored at 70 mins. Absolutely fucking freezing.
  2. At deepdale tonight, I run my son's footy team and they're taking pens at HT. Atmosphere dead and full of empty seats. They have absolutely no reason to shoot their mouths of about us.
  3. Am I missing something besides the telegraph mentioning O'Neil set to be interviewed?
  4. Can anyone remember if Eustace was in the bookies lists and if so, what odds?
  5. Hoping to go to this one. If the players have serious ambitions of the playoffs then it's a must win. They're very out of form and we have to take advantage of that. We have options and quality around the pitch to cause them a lot of problems. On the other hand they'll be fighting for their lives to not get dragged into a relegation battle. Have to just keep picking up points even if it is just a draw but this is very winnable.
  6. Which is partly why he will leave. He'll no doubt feel under appreciated and will get higher wages elsewhere. We can forget about him staying here.
  7. Can someone explain to me why the fuck Boa Morte & Boateng are in the running?
  8. Convinced he would. Opportunity to manage a team up the road from Liverpool, who are 5th and have good ties with club... Scouser currently in charge aswell who would be his number 2. More reasons for him to want it than not.
  9. A mate who's asking if anyone has heard the rumour... Not sure where he heard it.
  10. Anyone heard a rumour of Gerard being at the training ground yesterday?
  11. Give Ribeiro a 2 year contract. Class player.
  12. This stinks of a Plymouth win and a call for a new manager ASAP.
  13. Don't get that line up at all.
  14. I wanted Gerrard when JDT went to shit. Very ambitious man and would be an attractive name for the club. I understand the concerns but would put bums on seats and be an exciting one at least.
  15. They need to be taking advantage of our league position to get in the best possible name we can attract whilst we sit in 5th. If we give it to Lowe and it turns sour then it will really go to shit, turn toxic, we'll slide down the league and be a less attractive prospect to any potential targets. Get it sorted now. Get some stability and long term plan with a new manager and give the players who need to renew a reason to stay.
  16. Waggot will choke on his pork pie at the cost of their wages.
  17. Any manager will have a spell where they're doing a good job mate, it doesn't mean they should be taking over a premier League winning side who are challenging for promotion. I wouldn't want Lowe or Karanka but at least they've proven themselves with promotions and form in the championship.
  18. I think you've lost your head if you're ok with Wellens Chaddy... He's done nothing in his career to deserve a top 6 championship side.
  19. Christ Caddy, I know the owners have no ambition but we should at least!
  20. Neil Warnock and Makhtar Gueye seems like a match made in heaven... I can already see them both doing a silly dance celebrating on the pitch at Wembley.
  21. I'll understand anyone not wanting to work for our owners. I rated him but he absolutely bottled it against Burnley and it left a sour taste in my mouth since, I thought he would be the one but he was far too negative in that game. He'd been mentioning about filling up the ground every week, then we sold it out and turned out a poor performance where we simply didn't take it to them enough, got it very wrong tactically, especially in the 2nd half. Had he won that game, it would have hurt infinitely more to lose him to Derby. As it happens he leaves us with a defeat to Burnley, a lot of empty words and relegation form, which makes it easier to say goodbye. On the flip side, perhaps a managerial change will help us avoid our 2nd half of season slump and kick us on? Fingers crossed they get the right appointment. Anyway, thanks John, enjoy Derby... We'll be having a party when Derby go down.
  22. I'm one of those and this is a fair comment. Comes across well there.
  23. It's been said a million times... Football is a funny old game. One day, the club is falling apart, everyone is laughing at us, you're losing your manager to a bottom 3 side and going to play away to a team expecting to beat us, presuming it will be the start of our inevitable free fall down the league... The next day you're 5th, 3 points clear, your number 9 is the best player on planet, dreaming of the playoffs, the team your manager left you all for is going to get relegated and all those laughing have quickly shut the fuck up. We all know there are still some deep rooted problems at the club but results and performances like that really give a Rovers fan some much needed positivity, supporting Rovers isn't great for your mental health these days! Immensely proud of everyone, the coaching staff, players, fans... This isn't over, we can do it. Up yours John Eustace 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
  24. A lot of our fans have said some really stupid and mean things about big Mak... I did the same with Szmods and vowed I'd never write off a player again so soon. I'm absolutely delighted he's turning out to be the player we hoped he would be. Top player!!!
