  1. I think the only remaining names that wouldn't divide the fans are Jokanovic and Bilic. Would take either at this point tbh.
  2. Lawrence and his family are not something I'd want around Rovers again. That's all I'll say.
  3. https://the72.co.uk/273968/blackburn-rovers-could-turn-to-barnsley-defender-callum-brittain-this-summer/ Him Styles and Helik would all be welcome for low fee's.
  4. Disappointed we didn't end up with Alex Neil, I would have potted Mowbray for him long ago. When you look around at other managers in this league that have done a better job than Mowbray on a lesser budget then he's arguably top of the list. Add the fact that he's also had a some fairly recent promotions, knows what it takes to get out of this league, got plenty of years ahead of him, knows the area and gets the best out of what he's got. Would have been a sensible appointment in my view.
  5. On Rothwell. I won't forget that Mowbray actually did play him in central against Brentford at home when we first signed him in 2018. We beat them 1-0 and he was arguably best player on the pitch... But then proceeded to mess around with him for the next 3 years benching him for the likes of Richie Smallwood and Elliot Bennett. Laughable and infuriating.
  6. seems a little too coincidental that talks have started up after the manager has confirmed to be leaving. Always thought he mismanaged him.
  7. He'll be bringing his brother in law Downing in as his 2nd in command no doubt. Be a nice low pressure job for them considering there will only be about 4k fans at home games. Since when did we become the beggers for Middlesbrough's scraps?
  8. Want rid of him tbh... when I listen to his coaching it looks and sounds amateur, lot's of "fluff" speak. Watching half time warm ups compared to other teams there is no comparison. Few lads kicking a ball about, other clubs have subs doing drills etc... Get rid.
  9. we already spent millions on one IMO... Sam Gallagher.
  10. Darren has literally given is a big dollop of disappointment to be digested at 11 o clock... I hope I'm wrong.
  11. Personally, I don't think we need someone to come in and do this. We very obviously play counter attacking football and a player who plays with his back to goal instead of on the shoulder would really slow transitions down. This is one of the reasons I'm a bit worried as to how Dack will fit into this team, he feels (to me) like one of those previous batch of players that probably should have moved on by now, if it wasn't for his injury. If we absolutely need a target man then Gallagher should be through the middle because he certainly isn't a winger.
  12. Brereton has scored two good headers this season tbf
  13. I'd write off anything significant happening today now the Rothwell deal is off. We'll be nickel and diming for loans and low ball offers. Giles will come in and that will be it most likely.
  14. Looking around in the championship, I don't think there's a lot out there. Freeman makes sense as a cheap punt but not exactly a statement signing to push us on. Styles would be decent. Wouldn't surprise me if they have moved for someone from a European side, most likely get better quality and value for money if you get it right. Makes you realise how hard it is to replace the quality of Rothwell.
  15. that is a Rovers type transfer if I ever saw one tbh.
  16. Forget Rothwell, there are other younger players out there, we have to move on and quickly. Dembele would have been ideal, now I think Styles is probably one of our better options. Don't want to see loans as cover, it won't send the right signals. A good perm signing.
