I get that those at the club aren't liked but this comes across (to me at least) like misdirected anger and frustration. JRC & Buckley were going backwards else they would have gotten better moves. JRC was on the bench for Charlton & no one wanted Bucky who failed at Sheffield Wednesday. We got fee's for them to reinvest. Leanord may well have wanted to leave for his future, which is what I would have done personally. It's not like we've decided to scrap the academy (yet).

I think he will have asked to leave to get consistent minutes and a settled future rather than having a potential bad season on loan and end up at a career dead end in 12 months. Makes sense all round.

You're presuming there. 3 games into the season isn't enough of a sample size to decide if who has been brought in are downgrades. Don't get me wrong, I'm not naive enough to think cutting expenditure isn't a factor in player turnover either. Let's be honest though, how many players can you think of over the years have left and improved? Szmodics, Lennihan, Diaz, Armstrong, Rhodes, Gestede there's many others I've probably forgotten... All played their best football for us, then left and fallen off big time. Brittain and Travis won't play any better than they have for us. They move on, we move on. At least we move on with younger players with more potential.

Perhaps this is a bit of a incoherent, distasteful vent but here goes... Call me a cold hearted fucker but I literally couldn't care less about anyone leaving, like literally no feelings whatsoever and why should I? What have they ever achieved? A promotion? A playoff? A cup? Christ... Even beating Burnley??? They're nothing box standard championship players. Maybe it's just a case of getting older but as football has become even more of a money centric business... I just care about results and performances, the players can play wherever they want... And they will. Most of us will never realise the sort of money they make so I personally couldn't give a shite about their feelings when they're off to play for even more money. Those in charge (weather we like them or not) obviously think that there is better talent out there and that they're replaceable. So good luck to them, I hope they're right. I'll rightly give them their credit of they're right and their criticism if they're wrong. All these players are seemingly moaning about us not showing ambition (true) but where have they gone? To clubs who finished lower than us for more money. So let's cut the shit, it's really about money. No words can convince me that they care about this club, they care about their working environment, not the town & the people, they can't ever understand. After 14 years of dog shit in the championship, I'm somewhat apathetic and open to people coming in with fresh ideas and taking a risk. The club won't ever mean as much to them as it does to me, it's a job to them, it's my life to me... Depends how low tbh. Results are important but if we lose more than last season games it will also be about the manner in which the players perform which will also matter to me. The early and late goal are something that annoy me under VI.

I'd suggest never looking or reading these opinion pieces on those websites. They're a waste of your life and a template that they churn out across loads of different clubs for clicks and ad revenue... Consider it spam even.

Probably silly of us to be comparing some or the lads who've left from the ones who came in. Those who've left have experience in this league, those who've come in don't and have very different qualities... That said, I don't think anyone can argue that the lads who've come in have far more potential to improve.
