  1. Likeable managers but very streaky and inconsistent which cost us in the end. 7th or 21st... Still achieved nothing. No prizes for losers. I'm not convinced about this fella but fuck it, he/they've got a plan... Let's find out how good or bad it is.
  2. I'm not sure what he was on but an extra 10k for what? Is he worth it? What did he do to warrant it? Wasn't good enough for Ipswich and at 28 is as good as he'll ever be. He's been offered massive money elsewhere and he's gone... Off you fuck, tata, enjoy Derby... End of story.
  3. You know what though... If true... Lewis Travis ain't worth 30 fucking grand a week and is absolutely replaceable... If we will or have done is another matter.
  4. Perhaps this is a bit of a incoherent, distasteful vent but here goes... Call me a cold hearted fucker but I literally couldn't care less about anyone leaving, like literally no feelings whatsoever and why should I? What have they ever achieved? A promotion? A playoff? A cup? Christ... Even beating Burnley??? They're nothing box standard championship players. Maybe it's just a case of getting older but as football has become even more of a money centric business... I just care about results and performances, the players can play wherever they want... And they will. Most of us will never realise the sort of money they make so I personally couldn't give a shite about their feelings when they're off to play for even more money. Those in charge (weather we like them or not) obviously think that there is better talent out there and that they're replaceable. So good luck to them, I hope they're right. I'll rightly give them their credit of they're right and their criticism if they're wrong. All these players are seemingly moaning about us not showing ambition (true) but where have they gone? To clubs who finished lower than us for more money. So let's cut the shit, it's really about money. No words can convince me that they care about this club, they care about their working environment, not the town & the people, they can't ever understand. After 14 years of dog shit in the championship, I'm somewhat apathetic and open to people coming in with fresh ideas and taking a risk. The club won't ever mean as much to them as it does to me, it's a job to them, it's my life to me... So anyone who wants out can fuck off and the players that have come in, when better money comes along can fuck off aswell. Win football games.
  5. Depends how low tbh. Results are important but if we lose more than last season games it will also be about the manner in which the players perform which will also matter to me. The early and late goal are something that annoy me under VI.
  6. I'd suggest never looking or reading these opinion pieces on those websites. They're a waste of your life and a template that they churn out across loads of different clubs for clicks and ad revenue... Consider it spam even.
  7. Should be easy enough to mock up a Derby badge that says Rovers Rejects instead.
  8. Henriksson will be a good player I recon. Once he gets up to speed. Might even take a season.
  9. A full back able to do that would signing for a champions league side.
  10. Yeah sorry was posting it for context... Let's be honest... And I like Trav... He ain't ever been linked with such clubs.
  11. Probably silly of us to be comparing some or the lads who've left from the ones who came in. Those who've left have experience in this league, those who've come in don't and have very different qualities... That said, I don't think anyone can argue that the lads who've come in have far more potential to improve.
  12. Also, I'll be amazed if Pickering is still here. Seems very much one of the old guard and doesn't fit the athletic profile Ismael seemingly wants.
  13. I think there's a lot more to this than we know. I get the feeling there are a lot of players who don't want to play for Ismael or who have come back to pre season and he feels aren't up to the demands of how he wants to play. Therefore instead of pussy footing around have just decided to clean house and get in players that can. I'm not against this approach either tbh, if they've appointed him then they need to back him and if there are players who aren't 100% in line with the manager then they need moving on. Time will tell, I think a bedding in phase and a lack of cohesion will cost us points initially but I'm hoping we do the opposite to what we usually do... Start well, disaster post Christmas. Slow start, bed in the players, try not to get into too much trouble and have a strong finish to the season.
  14. The incomings are actually more than what some are calculating... We got a million from Chelsea for the young kid. 280k for Dolan. 300k for Telalovic sell on. 750k-1 mill for JRC plus the up to 3.5 million (give or take) fee's for Trav & Brittain, 1 mill for Buckley and a possible fee for Pears... Could take us to comfortably over 10 million in sales. As usual, we are well in the green. They should be forking out for a decent winger the tight fuckers.
  15. Wages probably an issue but if Hyam goes... James Hill is out of contract next summer.
  16. I'd call it somewhat exciting I suppose. Good and bad, proof is.in the pudding with the signings and the window isn't done yet. I certainly don't think Gestede deserves the job and I don't particularly like him either especially how he left as a player but at least he and his team seem to be having a good crack at improving us under a tight budget. I can't say I'm disappointed to see them trying to bring in players who want to prove themselves in this league rather than blokes who've hit their potential ceiling. It could also be presented as a cost cutting exercise which on one hand its a factor but on another the players that have left or are leaving might simply not be worth the money they're asking for. I'm at a point now we've meandered and existed in this league for that long that I'm ok with someone coming in and taking a risk with some players with potential and if it fucks up and blows up in their face then they look like a bunch of dicks anyway.
  17. Not me, rated him. Unmatched work ethic.
  18. 6 goals 5 assists last season. Still got a few years on his contract with Legia so not sure he'll be a cheap one. Do they have financial issues?
  19. I love Japanese players. Does he qualify?
  20. Did Kapaudi sign a new deal? I can see them selling Hyam and signing him.
  21. Ross Stewart has had a night mare with injuries but a top player at this level.
  22. Just asked my mates the same question... They all said they'd prefer Brittain. I'm not convinced. I like the pace and physicality of Alebiosu.
