[Archived] Rovers Foul All The Time - Ferguson
OJRovers replied to jim mk2's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Brilliant post! Saw this quote in the SUN ''Rio has made two fouls in a minute and gets two yellows but Andy Todd has made 10 and not even been booked. '' Er... yeah he did. Anyway did anyone else listen to the commentators on Sky Football First?? They are UNBELIEVABLEY BIASED towards united. There are too many egs of this to note but the best being after Ferdinand's challenge on savage: " The ball was there to be won " - yeah 15 yards away!! Dissappointed also that rovers link up play between Bentley/MGP/Reid/Emerton didnt even get a mention, but when Ronaldo had one run from a pass by evra it was a flowing move... Fergie should look at hughse who is always gratious in defeat -
With the contact of CHILES surely he could give recommendations for his other footy mates to do previews for their teams eg Lee Dixon - Aresenal. Hansen - Liverpool. Lawro - preston. Actually in thinking about this I ve just realised how many ex-Arsenal pundits there are: Dixon Adams Wrighty Seaman (occasionally) Smith on sky surely no other team has this number of pundits

Thats a good shout. WBrom will find it difficult to cope with the pace!!!
-
lets have a bit of optimism - we have only been beaten by Utd once in last seven games - we haven't turned into a bad side overnight. Kuqi is due a goal... Im hoping Rovers 2 Utd 1 Does anyone know if the match is on any foreign channels which might happen to be on in any of the locals?

I think the WHAM game must be the time to play MGP up front, Peter / Emerton on the wing. Hope Reidy continues his good form.

Thats a quality story - Neville was prob left speachless!! Interesting from reports that Rooney was the peacemaker - ive noticed that Roo has been keeping out of trouble lately. He's different than smith who is just an idiot with a chav haircut. Rooney plays hard but gets on with it and takes it when he gets it back. -
This public choice is going to cause trouble!! For me: HOME: first shirt (not sure about the red on the 2nd home one) AWAY: Red (as long as the final red is darkish not bright like utd)

THe problem with Poll is that he tries to sensationalise the game, but then is not consistent with his decisions. Eg 50/50 whether Fletcher fouled Tugay... but Utd have a break on... so he lets it go... But bet he wouldve given it if it was just running out for a throw in or something. On the goading of savage: I think that Rovers bosses should write a letter to the FA complaining about the lack of protection that Savage gets from referees - the only way to stop him being targeted by opposition is to give him more protection. Dickov / Bells are also unfairly treated. -

Spot on there partner That Berg decision was possibley the most important and worst decision ever in the PL since it began. Closely followed by that penalty we didnt get when the keeper tripped Ashley Ward at charlton (i think) few games before we went down. Hughsie got it spot on saying 'Poll thought 61,000 people came to see him.' He is wise. -

Come on Blues tonight !!! If anyones going and we are looking like we've going to win, get the song going... 'Can we have, can we have - can we have your hotel room, can we have your hotel room!' etc OR 'Your goin to lose your deposits... lose your deposits Your goin to lose your deposits... etc' -

I can't have the same amount of tension that the wigan fans must've gone through last night!! Im hoping that Rovers score early doors then get a second before half time. Dreaming a bit there... Still - Ive said it before - SAV IS DUE A GOAL... -

I have a feeling that Sav might open his account for Rovers at OT on Wed... You heard it here first -

Who does everyone think could/will be our penalty takers - off the top of my head... <List created with the belief that Bells IS injured although not 100% on this > No particular order MGP Bentley Reid Neill Kuqi Tugay?? -

I think this quote needs to be put in context - If someone walked up to Souey and said 'Matt's in a coma, he fell off a moped.' then Souey said it - then thats wrong. But if it was more a case of Matts been in a crash - fell off a moped - not sure how he is... its more acceptable to question why he was on a moped. Although agree with (most) people in that I hope he does well - just not against us. -
[Archived] Hughes Challenges Board
OJRovers replied to John's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
I know people are goin on about what can be achieved with £10million - lets not forget how far Hughes has taken us with (net) spending of next to nothing. The money's only useful if the players are available to buy. -

Think the team will be: Brad Neill Zurab(if todd sick) Nelson Gray Emo Reid Sav MGP Dickov Kuqi I can see Tugay being rested - although not 100% sure cos he sat out last week so might be raring to go. Plus Sav is walking on egg shells for wed. <editted didnt realise bentley was suspended.> -

To be fair Lawro got stick against QPR for predicting a 1-1 draw, he's now getting stick for predicting we win. HOWEVER- it just shows how little research goes into his predictions - PLus i dont think we have that much width - pederson tucks in a lot plus emo is on the other side... -
[Archived] Newcastle United 0 Blackburn Rovers 1
OJRovers replied to Eddie's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
The Omens are not looking good... Lawro has predicted us to win 2-1. <edit - which strangely is what i predicted earlier!!> Definately going to lose now. -

I also have a bad feeling about this game - however hope Im proved wrong. Still think we are difficult to beat at the moment. N'castle 1 - 2 Rovers Shearer Dickov, Sav Fingers crossed -
[Archived] Pedersen Needs Converting!

I was talking about this yesterday - putting Ped up front would enable us to put another good creative player (Peter) on the left -
[Archived] Steven Reid Can't Shoot
OJRovers replied to spencey7's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Reid was deserved man of the match v bolton - bit unfair singling out his shooting because Sav and Emerton aren't exactly the best shooters either... -
[Archived] Rovers 3 - 0 QPR. F.A. cup
OJRovers replied to Ozz's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Yep classic lawro on the BBC website - although we have won the last 5 games convincingly. He is a joker. Is gally back from his loan period? If so it would be good to see him play but might upset Dickov and Kuqi. Possible team: Brad Neil Todd(if fit) Zurab Gray(if well) Bret The Axe Sav Peter Gally Bells -
Fulham 0 - 2 Rovers Pederson, Kuqi (the bomb) Hopefully
