  1. Some things that stood out to me last night. Did Brittain think it was another friendly? Fantastic pass from Wharton to Hedges to set up Ennis's goal. Where the hell has Gilsenan come from, and can he do it against Championship teams? Speaking of Ennis, it was nice to finally see a striker getting into good positions when the ball went forward. Haven't had that for a while. We need another couple of defenders, CB and LB. Really poor last night.
  2. Sunderland beaten by Crewe. Preston beaten by Salford.
  3. Ennis fat but thin in the other thread.
  4. Lotsa penalty shootouts in the other games.
  5. That's a really old message board system. I remember sites using it in the late 90s.
  6. It was over 12 mins against WBA last season.
  7. Even with Wharton that’s an uninspiring team. If it’s not League 1 this season it is next. Steve W happy to pick up a pay cheque and complete the operation that his namesake began.

  9. 3-0 Rovers - Wahlstedt hat trick after JDT plays him up front out of sheer frustration after asking for a striker for 3 transfer windows.
  10. It says plenty about the club and owners that we're most likely going into this match without a first choice goalie and without a first choice goal scorer.
  11. That's perhaps the thing I was thinking of, a bonus for nothing.
  12. Wasn't there a "small" bonus for relegation?
  13. Some things to take from it. Dolan still isn't good enough. Pickering still isn't good enough. Travis still isn't good enough. Ennis was puffing and panting after a few minutes. We obviously need a striker. Apart from those negatives, Tronstad looks a good signing and Markanday and Leonard scored. If we could spend a decent amount on a good goalscorer and Sigurddsen hadn't got injured.
  14. You're aware of exactly what has happened since Venkys took over right? Most Rovers fans just want a well ran competitive club, not the basket case the owners have created. As J*B said it's about standards not being special. As for "what makes us do special?"
  15. They come in, ruin the club, rack up massive debts, put chancers in the top jobs. Then when we finally get a decent manager and they won't support him. What a set of absolute shithouses. JDT will walk, we'll get someone from the scrapheap and they'll give them £10m.
  16. From Twitter. Dolan chance, straight at goalie. Gallagher chance, deflected.
  17. "This is dross." A match day remark seen on many a match thread when TM was in charge. I wish it was as easy to forget for me. Especially this record breaking result. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59059048
  18. He seemed to lose it thanks to Yorke and Barry Ferguson. Other than that he was a brilliant manager for us, one of the best. I'd welcome him back.
  19. JRC may score a few more if played in midfield too.
