  1. Despite the league position he blotted his copybook with some massive blunders yesterday. Difficult to ignore such dumb errors.
  2. Also not a coincidence that we win more when Scott Wharton starts.
  3. Why Hirst when we’ve needed a centre forward since Armstrong left?
  4. Gallagher was the turning point. As I just said to J*B privately, it was like a lightbulb went off within every Burnley player, everyone over the top lads, just keep Brereton quiet and they won't score. And we do need some experience in midfield. Just someone to put their foot on the ball, dictate the pace of the game and pick a pass. The only one of them that can do it is 18. I think tippy tappy is here to stay sadly, this is JDT's "project" come what may.
  5. It's all their fault, every single bit of it. We wouldn't be scrabbling around in the Championship season after season if it weren't for them. The problems that Mowbray left us with, the current issues with the squad, the buck ends with them for allowing it.
  6. We certainly plumb new depths every season thanks to Venkys.
  7. The referee was a complete tool, but Tomasson and the players made their own mistakes and were punished. The same mistakes they've made in other matches. Mola wasn't even jumping for the ball in our own box at times. Ayala's brains left him a few times. Vale was jogging about like he was taking the dog for a walk. Travis was running about a bit but when he got the ball there was no urgency, he gave up by the second half. Gallagher was a passenger before he got injured, when he did get injured there was more passion in his eyes than in the minutes he'd played. It's the worst I've seen Morton play who was absolutely abysmal. I'll lay off Kaminski, Hyam, Brereton, Hedges and Brittain. Hedges and Brittain were hamstrung by JDT's silly sod tactics. Brereton can't do it by himself. Hyam was on his own in a defence full of dickheads. Kaminski kept it from being 2-0 after Travis put the team under pointless pressure. They couldn't give a toss E_R. They've been playing half a match since Mowbray showed up, and now they are being asked to tap it around and defend for 90 minutes against the league's top scorers. The mentality won't disappear overnight and we're going to have to spend a lot of money to play JDT's way properly. Just another away loss for JDT and his boys for some it seems. Meh. It happens.
  8. Nah, he should have at least been on the bench. He's a one of a kind player and would have been useful to change things around. Midfield was none existent today. Not having his older brother starting was the biggest mistake, especially replacing him with a 21 year old who has had one appearance in the cup, in London, midweek. As with January which preceded a spectacular death spiral, the biggest mistakes were made in the transfer window. If we have a decent striker to start or come on for Gallagher, they can't play as openly and we have more chance of scoring.
  9. Some of the playing it out from the back looked like it was a training exercise. Robotic, but without the accuracy that autonomy usually brings. Wishful thinking but I suspect he just couldn't care less. Thinking about what his missus was making for tea most probably.
  10. They don't care Tyrone, it was clear to see on the pitch that not one of the players or staff gave a f*** today.
  11. He'll always be tarnished by that awful shirt.
  12. The hangers on. Whoever is responsible for fitness. New medical staff. New CEO. Can Gregg sack the lot, including the owners and himself?
  13. Imagine if we didn't piss about with it at the back and had signed a decent striker in Summer. I noticed Waggott was slumped in his seat during the match, looking as emotionless as ever.
  14. Makes you wonder what the coaches left behind by Mowbray say to him, but he has his own eyes and should know which players he can and can't rely on.
  15. If we have more of that served up I'd rather not witness the Preston game.
  16. The surprising aspect of it is that were set up to perform like one. Let's face it Burnley didn't get out of first gear. JDT just stuck the brakes on and prayed. I'm not sure if he even prayed tbh.
  17. I think these events took place before the match.
  18. Understandable, Barnes could have bummed the referee and still wouldn't have got a yellow.
  19. I've no idea what the rulebook states but I'm pretty certain that's a red card offence.
  20. He needs to fix his mistake in signing Hirst.
  21. A likeable player but mediocre. The point was he shouldn't be the only centre forward in the squad whilst filling the squad with average midfielders signed to be played wide or as a false 9. We saw today that Vale is not an adequate replacement for a senior centre forward. And Hirst should be nowhere near the first team, Broughton needs a kick in the ass for that one. As soon as Vale came on you could see Burnley commit more players. No threat apart from Brereton. Throw as many players forward as you want as long as you keep Brereton from running foward.
