  1. Helik and Swift, what a dream it would be to sign those two.
  2. We've had some good goalies over the years. Teddy Gennoe, Aled Kelly, Bud Friedel, Peter Robinson, Shane Given, Jock Filan.
  3. About what we're paying for Ayala then.
  4. Also Ainsworth isn't on the scrapheap, TM was when he became Rovers manager. Rovers have rejuvenated his career. Perhaps we can help Ainsworth get to the next level of his managerial career?
  5. I bet that gave a self esteem boost to his 13 year old son. Blimey, honourable?
  6. He’s a lazy minded git, or he gets bored or complacent. Or maybe he just stumbles upon a winning formula and when he’s found out he has no idea how to change things. Being stubborn seems to be his biggest failing.
  7. Hughes seems to be doing well at Bradford with Glynn Hodges.
  8. I don’t see Leeds picking up any points from those games.
  9. I think Leeds are down and aren’t going to pick up anything from their remaining games. Burnley have one less game than Leeds so that may have some bearing on it. Everton always escape.
  10. You can’t deny TMs record. He struggles to manage a game for an entire match never mind an entire season.
  11. But under what circumstances was he played there? I don't think any Rovers fans have an issue with players playing out of position. All managers do it. Anyone remember a silver haired Mark Hughes playing in midfield? Those times Hendry or Samba played up front? Look at Chris Sutton, started life as a centre half. The difference is, those either worked or the manager was forced into it. In many cases Mowbray isn't forced into it, he just does it for fun. And he does it week after week as if he's too stubborn to back down. Giles on the wrong side, Gallagher out wide (and full back!), Dolan as a false 9, Clarkson as a false 9, Armstrong out wide... Bradley Johnson as a false 9 😄 and he'd have done it again if Johnson hadn't gone public about it not working.
  12. Did he do it every week? Did it work? Because Mowbray plays several players out of position sometimes twice weekly and it's never worked. Who was the striker by the way?
  13. I always thought his contract ended on May 31st. I can't remember where I got that from. Anyone know when his contract ends?
  14. Lancs Live will be making an educated guess. We won't be getting Farke. And they are probably right. We'll get some dolloper.
  15. Or are his agents trying to force Hibs to get him first? Kean out.
  16. Financial fair play unless you’ve just been in the PL, in which case do whatever you want. It needs scrapping or heavily revising.
  17. Everton always stay up no matter how awful they are.
  18. His record in the last ten matches at Derby are similar to TM's at Coventry. Sounds like the ideal candidate then. You'd hope that they aren't giving TM a contract because they want better but if they get this fellow in, it's another very odd and self destructive decision.
  19. They'll wait till all the good and half decent appointments are snapped up. Guaranteed.
  20. Please tell me the penny has finally dropped.
  21. And TM was wrong for going after him because he clearly isn't good enough for what was required. I'm not sure how going for him, getting him or not getting him is a plus for Mowbray.
  22. Farke would be a brilliant appointment, but let's face it Ainsworth will be a lot cheaper. Ex Premier League vs League 1. Whoever gets the job it's going to take them a couple of seasons to sort out.
