  1. Newell was actually looking a decent manager. Then he slated agents which seemed to end him.
  2. No idea if it’s directly linked in the articles above but here it is 30 minutes in. it’s clear that he doesn’t understand why Kean was so hated. It’s not as if the information isn’t well documented.
  3. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/scandinavian-coach-emerges-as-candidate-for-blackburn-rovers-vacancy/ Another week, another name.
  4. Rotherham fans views. https://boards.footymad.net/showthread.php?t=38291338
  5. Haha, they are taking another gamble on the cheap. Who would have thought it? If it is Warne I wish him all the best and he'll get my support. It could have been much worse with some of the dross out of work and Venkys form of employing from the managerial scrapheap. At least he's had some success in a lower league. But ffs, we were interviewing Farke and Carvalhal a couple of weeks ago.
  6. Seems a good League 1 manager but who knows if he could bring that to the Championship (if given a better budget?) In the Ainsworth category. Not as bad as some suggestions as the guy actually has some experience of managing a football club.
  7. Is it able to work with the existing coaching staff and a DOF?
  8. £40m for a 30 year old keeper 🙄
  9. Cornet will be a loss, decent player in a poor team.
  10. At this point Mark Warburton and Slaviša Jokanović look like decent appointments.
  11. £12m doesn't buy you loyalty, but at £6m a goal plus wages I'm sure they'll be glad to see the back of him. The lad must have a good agent.
  12. Pickering has been really disappointing. I was expecting a good player with Mowbray spending £650,000 plus add ons for him, then letting Crewe keep him for half a season.
  13. Every Rovers fan before and after the announcement is made.
  14. If they screw up the manager and player recruitment this Summer they could have both the Mowbray fans and the none Mowbray fans against them. We may end up hearing Venkys Out again at Ewood soon. Galvanising the fans in the only way they know.
  15. That's why I put it into inverted comma's. In reality none will be a cheap option, just cheaper than the A list. Coyle was the cheapest option we could get but he ended up being the most expensive. They clearly haven't learned their lesson.
  16. For most part I agree (apart from the Coyle bit, a bit unfair), but still preferable to some of the names mentioned that have absolutely zero experience of managing a football club. If we gamble on a novice and could get someone like Warburton or Ainsworth, it's bonkers. Even more bonkers is there are some quality names available, and I imagine because we have pissed around the best options have now gone elsewhere.
  17. What uninspiring names... Ainsworth would be the best "cheap" signing. Ferguson, Walsh, Woodgate? Do we want to go back to League 1? There's managers like Carvalhal, Farke, Bilic and Dyche out of work and we're going to end up with another total novice. I'd take the likes of Warburton and Holloway over some of these managers with next to no experience.
  18. It sounds like we have Derek Shaw to thank for that policy.
  19. Carvalhal was willing to entertain the idea of managing Rovers, let that sink in. If they don't appoint someone better they've f***ed up yet again.
