  1. Is it able to work with the existing coaching staff and a DOF?
  2. £40m for a 30 year old keeper 🙄
  3. Cornet will be a loss, decent player in a poor team.
  4. At this point Mark Warburton and Slaviša Jokanović look like decent appointments.
  5. £12m doesn't buy you loyalty, but at £6m a goal plus wages I'm sure they'll be glad to see the back of him. The lad must have a good agent.
  6. Pickering has been really disappointing. I was expecting a good player with Mowbray spending £650,000 plus add ons for him, then letting Crewe keep him for half a season.
  7. Every Rovers fan before and after the announcement is made.
  8. If they screw up the manager and player recruitment this Summer they could have both the Mowbray fans and the none Mowbray fans against them. We may end up hearing Venkys Out again at Ewood soon. Galvanising the fans in the only way they know.
  9. That's why I put it into inverted comma's. In reality none will be a cheap option, just cheaper than the A list. Coyle was the cheapest option we could get but he ended up being the most expensive. They clearly haven't learned their lesson.
  10. For most part I agree (apart from the Coyle bit, a bit unfair), but still preferable to some of the names mentioned that have absolutely zero experience of managing a football club. If we gamble on a novice and could get someone like Warburton or Ainsworth, it's bonkers. Even more bonkers is there are some quality names available, and I imagine because we have pissed around the best options have now gone elsewhere.
  11. What uninspiring names... Ainsworth would be the best "cheap" signing. Ferguson, Walsh, Woodgate? Do we want to go back to League 1? There's managers like Carvalhal, Farke, Bilic and Dyche out of work and we're going to end up with another total novice. I'd take the likes of Warburton and Holloway over some of these managers with next to no experience.
  12. It sounds like we have Derek Shaw to thank for that policy.
  13. Carvalhal was willing to entertain the idea of managing Rovers, let that sink in. If they don't appoint someone better they've f***ed up yet again.
  14. If true, Farke having to have a second interview is a joke. Coyle met with Balaji and that was that. Decent managers come along and they have to jump through hoops. Having to work with the coaching team and not being allowed to bring their own staff in has got to be up there with Venkys most idiotic decisions. And I guarantee that whatever useless tosspot gets the job will be bringing in their own yes men anyway within 6 months.
  15. It depends on how you look at it. Farke hasn't managed in L1 or at a large Scottish club like Celtic, and most of his losses were in the PL. Mowbray's had 7 clubs, Farke has had 2 (Krasnodar doesn't count). Farke has won the Championship twice in recent times. Mowbray did it once in 2008. Carvalhal almost managed promotion a couple of times.
  16. I have no idea how well Duncan Ferguson would do as he’s only managed 5 football matches. Won 1 Lost 1 Drawn 3 How you can possibly judge someone either way I don’t know. Same with Beale. So would I put one of these people in charge of my multi million £££ business that for financial reasons needs success? No.
  17. We definitely won't do that, he's reported to have been on £5.2m a year.
  18. The last time that happened Warnock was cancelled and we got Coyle.
  19. Steve Kean would be the perfect fit for a lot of your fans. Can we get a campaign going?
  20. It's such a false economy for the money they lose year after year.
  21. I hope so. There's some decent candidates out there at the moment. If we go for someone because of their record with youth development, rather than their ability to win football matches, the future looks very bleak. I'd expect a very expensive sacking midway through the season and gateway to a scrapheap appointment when it all goes wrong.
  22. I also missed off... First job so will do as he's told. Thinking about it, it would be a terribly cynical move by Venkys and proof that they still have no clue how to quell the debt. Employing someone purely to develop youth players and sell them on. F*** promotion. F*** sake.
  23. Costs a lot - check. Managerial experience nil - check. Another novice - check. Massive risk - check. That's our man.
