Wrongly disallowed goal - check. Soft sending off - check. Blind eye to foul in build up to their goal - check. -

Benitez would want a decent transfer fund I imagine.

He's only had 2 seasons vs TM's 5. Partway through one of those seasons covid came along which can't have helped. That said I'm remembering the great job he did at Brentford. Perhaps he's a one club wonder. QPR fans seem to have mixed feelings on it. Some think he did a good job but they need someone else to get them promoted, some think he wasn't backed to bring in the players he needed and it was the wrong decision. He's certainly lost more than he's won there but not by much. Would I prefer him over the HSH cast offs? Yes. Would I prefer someone better? Yes. Farke or Bilic.

Come on Gav, they are supporting the club financially. It's the only half decent thing they've done. And so they should, it's them that got us into the financial mess in the first place. They just need to get it into their heads that employing a good manager and supporting them is one of the important things when running a football club. I imagine they are still being advised by people with motives other than bringing in the right manager (£££'s for their clients on the scrapheap).

If I'd made £5m from it I wouldn't care.

Premier League season 21/22

Financial fair play 🤣 Should be called, keeping big clubs up. -
No way to treat someone who has given 5 years service + a overseen a promotion from L1. An absolutely crazy way to run a multi million pound business, never mind a football club. TM was obviously uncomfortable with those questions with having two big games coming up, not wanting to unsettle the team more than it already is. That said he doesn't do himself any favours, just as I was developing some sympathy for him he acts like he's doing us all a favour being here. If he'd said he didn't want to comment any more about it he'd have had a lot more respect. No sob stories Tony, you've done well here. Your lad won't be wanting for anything. Enjoy your retirement, it'll be better than any of the people who pay money to watch Rovers week in week out.

He's a step up from Mowbray.

Looking at all 3 of those teams they are as inconsistent as us, so it's unlikely they'll win their last 2. Rovers getting 6 points is the most unlikely though. If we could keep the same team and build on it next year it wouldn't be so disappointing but we all know a rebuilding job will have to be done. In two games time half of the first team is off - three defenders, a midfielder and our top goalscorer (and Khadra). And that doesn't include loanees like Giles, Zeefuick, Poveda who have barely made an impact. We're left with the following (first teamers). Kaminski (G) Wharton (D) Pickering (D) Ayala (D) JRC (D) Buckley (M) Edun (M) Travis (M) Johnson (M) Hedges (W) Markanday (W) Dolan (W) Dack (AM) Gallagher (S)

9 minutes+ added time for Bournemouth. 9 minutes+ added time for Fulham. Could be a two hour match at the weekend.

Is the referee just letting them play till they get a winner now? -

Scabby. -
That's not a Carlsberg Saturday though, that's a shit Friday.
-
And we beat them in the play off final if Carlsberg did them. Rothwell scores a hat trick.
-
Which just goes to show what a costly and very silly decision it was to not sign a striker or two in January. Silly decision by Mowbray being stubborn. Silly decision by Waggot for allowing it to happen. Silly decision by the owners for not getting on at Waggot asking why we aren't bolstering the forward line when we're in second place and Bournemouth are strengthening and everyone has games in hand on us - and Brereton is off to play with Chile/may get injured.
-
He needs to play Hedges on Saturday, he looked up for it. Not from the bench.
-
He needs to play the same team on Saturday, but I'm fully expecting Poveda in, Dolan as a false 9 and Edun at full back.
-
Yep, only got Bournemouth next 😄
-
Outstanding. They always have to give you that little bit of hope don't they. Can't help but feel there will be a sting in the tail on the last day.
-
He doesn't need to run, we're 4-1 up and Preston's defence are shite.
-
Poveda? Who hasn't played for months? Would Dack not be the "safe" choice?
-
How is Whiteman getting away with it?
