v Coventry City (a) - 2/4/22
booth replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
In one of our only attacks Giles crosses the ball and Gallagher didn't even jump for it. Fucking hell, what a waste of a wage he is. No one else running in the box despite Giles waiting what felt like 3 years to cross it. -

Buckley only ever shines when he has players running into space in front of him. Who have we got up front? Gallagher and a full back. -

Gallagher and Mowbray are a match made in heaven. -

LWB on right wing. I'm beginning to believe the conspiracy theories about Mowbray not wanting the play offs. Does he have a holiday booked? -

And Mowbray didn't only spend £650,000 on him, he waited half a season like he was some superstar. -

Why has he got Giles on the right again after he's seen with his own eyes how it does not work? I've just seen JRC leave a ball, and allow one of theirs to get it. We get the ball back, it's passed to Gallagher and he does exactly the same despite him knowing there are two defenders around him. The manager has created this team in his own image. And it's pathetic. -

He's too deep in that position. -
Probably a nice bloke in real life. If he could curb his penchant for strange tactics, and get teams to play for a full game/season he'd be brilliant. It's obvious he is able to put a team together that can compete when he's not experimenting. It's a shame he's soured himself against some fans with some of the things he's said and his inability to shoulder some of the blame himself. I'd stretch to a 7 as anyone who can put up with Venkys for 5 years deserves an extra point. I'm feeling generous today.

3 months of abysmal performances but still in the play off spots. What a strange season it's been.

If Mowbray stays he will bring in 6 strikers and a goalkeeper. And those 6 strikers will cover the above positions. -
And I thought QPR would be our main rival. Maybe for 10th place at this rate!

BBC: Are you seeing confidence, in front of goal becoming an issue? Mowbray: No, no, not at all. -

Since when have Venkys cared about things like coaching methods? I’d actually take Warnock temporarily for a promotion push, you can’t deny his CV. Farke would be perfect for Rovers though, we could yo-yo to financial stability then hopefully try to cement a place at the top table. Norwich may not accept that but for Rovers it would be ideal. That’s why we’ll end up with someone like Pulis. -

There’s no guarantees of anything. We’ve probably seen the best of TM for this season though. He’s blue screened till next season. And there’s a good chance he’ll malfunction in January 2023. -
Sutton or Newell. Who was better?
booth replied to Nuttall is lost's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I’ve met Shearer and Sutton. Sutton seemed a decent bloke, Shearer was on his own planet, not in a terrible way. He just seemed very focused and elsewhere. Dalglish, Mimms, Flowers all really nice blokes. Flowers an especially friendly person. Dalglish not the dour bloke he was made out to be. Somehow I managed to be in Dalglish’s god like presence twice and was on Granada news shaking hands with him when I was 16. Tony Parkes, Simon Garner, Glenn Keeley down to Earth. Keeley is funny. Berg very quiet. Bohinen the same. Hendry seemed okay. Sherwood, the loudest bast*** at Ewood. Wish I’d have met Jack Walker, I shook his hand when we went up in 92. Never net Newell sadly. -
Where will we finish?

Between 10th and 12th. -

Johnson as a false 9 is something no one should ever witness again too. The big problem with Mowbray is that he’s expecting wingers and central midfielders to do the goalscoring. And there’s a good reason these players were never selected as goal scorers since they were kids. -

I think the wheels will come completely off eventually. Especially as he appears to be more delusional than ever believing we can sustain several players out of position whilst playing without any notable strikers.
