  1. That would be great. All the teams that have laughed at our Venky plight need a good old dose of shit owners and opportunistic snakes.
  2. He said he could have signed “number 9’s” but he didn’t want them because we don’t play that way.
  3. I hope you all trawl through the transfer thread and return some of the shit they threw at me. I hope they are enjoying this.
  4. We get what Mowbray deserves. Arrogant not to sign a striker in Jan.
  5. Let’s play everyone out of position because that’s always worked.
  6. We spent £5m on a bloke and he can’t take a penalty.
  7. Shouldn’t be relying on a kid for penalties.
  8. And this is why we needed another goal scorer chaps.
  9. Today Rovers put a video on of Mike Newell scoring a goal from a Kevin Gallacher flick on. He was playing against a player much taller than him and still managed a good header over to Newell. Gallagher is the opposite, taller than his opposition but got lead in his boots.
  10. How many goals have those players scored between them? 33, which are all from Hedges over 10 years of playing professionally. Only 3 scored in the Championship (in 23 games). Maybe an unfair assessment of Markandays attributes as he's a young lad and it's unknown whether he would have contributed in the goals dept. However, he was injured and assessed with plenty of time left in the transfer window to know we needed someone to contribute goals. The fact is without Brereton's goals we are going to struggle, and there's been a fair amount of warning.
  11. Some amazing apologism on this thread. No one was asking for a £10m striker, just someone to lift the burden off a player that has exceeded all expectations as it is. And saying we could have signed someone crap is no excuse for signing someone. If the worry is signing disappointing players you'd never sign anyone. We are obviously light on goalscorers and have been since the season began. It's not like anyone was expecting any marquee signings, just a normal squad.
  12. Is there a third Wharton brother?
  13. Nyambe was good tonight, as was the rest of the defence but let's not forget we were playing against another team who are struggling to get the ball in the net at the moment.
  14. He cost £5m. Mowbray obviously doesn’t want to answer the inevitable question, why are we not securing our prized asset Tony? This is why he plays out wide, just to justify the contract and fee. Doesn’t trust him to play as a number 9.
  15. Once again we have no one with any guile up front, having to soak up pressure late on. Playing with ten again, with another uncommitted performance from Gallagher, the man we will be relying on for goals next season.
  16. There’s been a few footballing crimes this season. If we manage the play offs after all these goofs it’s a credit to the lads who put a shift in.
  17. Brereton going off was more damaging than losing our top scorer. Mowbray was never going to take off Gallagher who looks about as effective as a crepe paper toilet.
  18. Tony looking worried, thinking why didn’t I get one of those number 9s I was offered? You tell us Tony.
  19. Gallagher is offering nothing. We’re playing with ten.
  20. It shows where his head is at. Thinking of what could happen, not his own job. Imagine who we could have bought with £5m.
  21. Worse second half. Looks like we’ve had our good half then.
  22. What a terrible signing he was, one of the worst players to wear the shirt. Difficult to hear him criticise anyone after seeing him “play”, if you can call it that.
  23. We may not have changed formation but I'm not sure if Mowbray has already tried to change the way we play over the last few games. Possession stats would suggest we have gone back a season.
