They are the in-form team in this league, that's their current status not an opinion. -

That and Gallagher being the only other striker that’s scored a senior goal. -

Good player but wouldn’t it be nice to sign someone with a bit more experience at this level - a goalscorer preferably. -

Now the transfer window isn’t looking too clever for us considering the money for Markanday could have gone elsewhere. No ones fault but this is why ffp doesn’t work. If you have long term injuries you’re afraid to spend cash. -

No it’s common sense to look at the facts and say, this is going to be a tough game and the likelihood is, we won’t get 3 points from this one. I can’t see it. It’s also common sense to go, it’s a game of football and anything is possible (see Wigan game). So of course they don’t have the 3 points tied up. -

It'a not panic it's common sense. We've lost not only our goal scorer but a big personality in the team, we've been off the boil for a few games, Tony reverted to fantasy football and we're playing the in-form team of the league. Gallagher didn't look arsed the other day and he's going to be our top goalscorer. It's not treating Boro like Man City, it's treating them as what they are, the team that's currently in-form - and treating Rovers like they are, without their leading goalscorer and suffering a few absences. -

I guess you didn't watch us against Hull then, and now we are relying on Gallagher for goals. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/top-scorers -

They are one of the form teams in the league, that's a fact. I watched them in their last match and they look like us when we were playing well. We are on the back of a poor mini run where we've looked tired, uninspired and every bit the team that finished 15th last season. We are without our top scorer, our attacking fullback, possibly our only combatative midfielder and we all know what happens when Mowbray has to replace players - he goes fucking mental. Add to that the guaranteed inclusion of lazy Gallagher and our new signings not being ready. Expecting a good result is folly. -
It was clear to anyone watching that we were playing with ten men.

I agree with this. I don't think we have a snowballs chance in hell, especially without Pickering and our talisman - we have literally zero strikers of note to count on. I hope Nyambe and Travis are back but I fully expect Gallagher to be back in and more appearances from the likes of Johnson and Buckley playing deep. I fear it'll be more tactical nonsense against a team in very good form. -
It would have been most likely he'd scored that penalty which may have given him a much needed boost.

I wasn’t being serious, it was a hypothetical question. -

Adebayo would be good but I can’t see Rovers paying the necessary amount even if Brereton was sold. -

He’d slot right into the not being available for Bournemouth role. -
This one. Edit: I missed longsiders earlier post saying the club have rubbished the article. I’d be worried if I were them though, their new owners sound dodgy.
-
If that report that was posted earlier is to be believed the new owners are struggling for cash.
-
The recent news reports would suggest they have nothing to spend.

Only if we can buy Mitrovic with it. -
Is that halfwit still around?
-
Nyambe should be back at least, hopefully Travis too which would allow Buckley to return to his forward role, but Brereton is out so I expect more tinkering. I’ll be very surprised if Gallagher isn’t playing. We could really do with signing a player who knows where the goal is today.
-
The main problems, referee aside, were moving Buckley deeper and the right side being completely benign. In the first half most of the attacks came down the right. Gallagher was jogging about waiting for the ball to come to him and JRC was incapable of keeping up and didn’t have a tackle in him. And for some reason Mowbray thought that was acceptable for over an hour.

After last night I’d like a striker to replace Gallagher and a midfield destroyer. Healey or Maja and a Batty type for midfield with a good engine. -
The thing that always throws Tony is when we have a fullback selection nightmare. And last night he had the massive headache of replacing Travis, so brainwave - he thought let’s change everything! JRC shouldn’t have played. Ayala should have gone in the middle of defence, Lenihan at full back, Davenport for Travis, formation should have remained untouched. Having JRC and Gallagher on the right, and Rothwell and Buckley as a midfield pairing, was handing the game to them.
-
We were awful and Mowbray got giddy last night, but despite that, had the referee done his job properly we wouldn’t have lost 2-0 and Hull wouldn’t have played like there were no rules.
-
I’m amazed he’s got a new contract. The original price tag has meant that whilst in the Championship he’s always got a place in the squad, and Rovers won’t let him go. No one is going to offer a decent fee for him. If only we had a decent forward to replace him.
