  1. He asked how I felt it went and I did acknowledge that we lost, as well as saying I thought we would pre-match when I saw Travis was at full back. Tbh I don't expect much from a game when Travis is lines up as a midfielder never mind a defender. He tried hard and broke up play better than a lot of games this season but he's not a full back and PNE knew it before a ball was kicked. I don't think there's any chance of us playing shite and winning at the moment.
  2. How much have they spent compared to what they made?
  3. I think you got lucky. Caught us with a lot of injuries having to rely on a lot of youth, but we still outplayed you for long periods. If we had a decent striker I believe it would have been a different story as other than Szmodics (who I reckon is also carrying an injury), our other players rarely chip in (I think the most goals by other players is 4). If we hadn't lost JRC to a bad injury against Norwich, he'd have been all over you and added some much needed bollocks. Due to his loss we had a midfielder at fullback and you took full advantage. At the beginning of the game when I saw Travis at fullback I groaned, and as expected we lost, despite playing better than I expected and raising hopes. We had four first team defenders out and no fit strikers. The three strikers we did have on the bench were a kid, a L1 striker short of match fitness and a lad from a foreign pub team league, who previously also looks short of match fitness. I'm guessing now your fans love Lowe, despite wanting him sacking after taking you to the top. To be fair I can see why after a bad result it could easily turn as a team with a decent striker or two would have turned you over before your first goal went in. For a team that's spent most of the time in the top 6 I was surprised at how almost every PNE pass gave the ball away cheaply, and resorting to fouling, but you can get away with that when you have belief and some physicality. Preston remind me of us early last season when we weren't playing very well but getting results by hitting teams on the break and relying on a bit of luck. Hopefully your luck runs out like ours did when we were cheated at Coventry 😉
  4. That's absolutely stupid. I once had to travel to Cornwall and they paid for our air travel down there. Didn't take long. For professional footballers the least travel time the better for obvious reasons. But as we know from the CEO, winning football matches is secondary these days, as long as we don't lose enough to go down.
  5. Haha outed, be great when he does his daily google of himself.
  6. Did they fly for the Plymouth game or go on the coach? If anyone’s ever driven down to Plymouth they’ll know what a stupid decision it would be. Right J*B?
  7. A big reason for conceding last night was Adam Wharton being on the pitch way longer than he should have been. Looking at the options though, who replaces him for 25 minutes? Garrett maybe but still not ideal. Markanday wouldn’t be my pick and I groaned when he came on, but who else is there? Telalovic? And I’d have brought on Ennis instead of Leonard but I still don’t think that would have changed things much. It’s almost always a choice of mediocre or mediocre.
  8. He’s not blameless, and he’s also not the manager for working in the championship on such a low budget, grinding out results with mediocre players and kids. I don’t think he signed up for that so I’m not going to blame him for things out of his hands just because I need someone to direct my anger at. He makes mistakes but every one is magnified due to the lack of depth and support. It’s common knowledge that he wanted experienced grafters, goalscorers, a midfielder and a fullback. He was told when appointed that he would be supported over his contract. They changed the plan, so it’s frustrating but unsurprising when we continually fall short. If anything he seems to be the only person at the club with any ambition.
  9. Sorry I hit a nerve with that Jim. If I knew you’d still be crying about it the next day I’d have used different terms.
  10. Which striker is he supposed to play? Mr Inexperienced, Mr even more Inexperienced, or Mr Unfit?
  11. Nah they’ll do it again, but they’ll do it when they’ve appointed some halfwit. We’ll be heading down to L1 under a washed up manager from their favourite agency, but with an excellent striker who we’ll eventually lose for nothing. And we’ll all lament they spent money two or three years too late. It’s what they do. I still have nightmares of them allowing Gary Bowyer to make mistake after mistake with a good championship squad and excellent strikers.
  12. I said during the shit show of the transfer window that when we’re lower/mid-table it would all be forgotten and the blame would be laid at the managers and players door, and here we are. Look at the bench, look at the goalscoring ability of the team, look at the over reliance on youth, look at the CEO when he appointed JDT fully knowing he wouldn’t be able to bring in the required personnel to support his vision, including the rudimentary like a goalscorer.
  13. Add an experienced defender and midfielder to that, but it’s not the business model. We may get a striker at some point because Venkys seem to like to splash out silly money on a good young goalscorer that they can profit on later. But no doubt it’ll be when JDT has left and we have some no hoper.
  14. Difficult to sleep last night. Not because of the Derby defeat but because I saw us for the most part play very well, be the better team, yet come up short because of issues off the pitch. There was hope things would get better after defeats last season but this season that’s gone due to the owners once again brazenly helping the opposition to 3 points.
  15. If they genuinely cared they'd right the wrongs, but there's been no attempt to do that in their entire time here. They've continually got it wrong, or half right. It seems like it's on purpose. Someone said they don't want to get promoted as it'll mean having to invest more in the club and I'm starting to believe that weird logic.
  16. We had the same issues with strikers and midfielders last year too. Probably more so as at least Tronstad looks alright. Pears over Kaminski I'll never understand though. If only we hadn't sold him.
  17. Apart from the stuff you said I made up in your last post. Go to sleep Jim.
  18. I'm the opposite. Last season I was frustrated at him not giving Adam Wharton more game time, but now it's quite clear why and it's the same reason why he's not giving Ennis, Leonard and Telalovic a crack. It's because for whatever reason they aren't up to it. I'll say it again, 2018 since we signed a decent striker, we sold him for £15m and didn't see any of that money on the pitch. In terms of frustration, JDT doesn't know the half of it.
  19. Yeah I read it the first time. I didn't make anything up, it's all there to see. Preston were poor, yet still beat us for all the obvious reasons that have plagued us for a while now. No need to make anything up.
