Gilsenan is a brilliant player. Would love to see him get a chance. -

Cheering me up is the Southampton commentary. We've had Hill called Callum Brittain for 30 minutes. Andrew Moran called John Moran. And finally, we've just been called Bristol Rovers. I'm sure it's an AI bot. -

Moran has been poor today. I'm surprised he's on the pitch after midweeks performance. -

Looked like a foul corner to me, it wasn't even on the line, no one checking. But shit defending. -

Hill shouldn't be playing as a fullback, he should be in the middle. -

You'd expect him to give it a go being about 5 yards out. -

It was the earlier chance I was talking about. He should have taken a shot instead of passing it back into the box. On the occasion you mention he should have passed to Sigurdsson. -

Does that mean he can't kick the ball in the net? -

why didn't Brittain take a shot then? Just him and the goal and he passes it backwards. -

Going off the last 3 games, we'll get hammered. Fitness looks at its lowest and we're lacking options on the bench. -

With Venkys, the least logical is always the most likely. -
Let's hope for a similar result.

Exactly.

Give over. Watch some game repeats. Compared to the first half of the season he was taking it easy. I just can't see how you (or anyone else) couldn't see it, it was pretty obvious.

It's not bollocks. I watched as he allowed players to stroll past him with the ball, not even bumping shoulders with them. He was blatantly not wanting to get involved and he couldn't have made it more obvious. Oddly, in last few games he was getting physically involved again. Maybe Villareal were thinking of pulling out after seeing some of his displays and his agent had a word.

I think I was probably biased after seeing him lose the ball all match. And after seeing the replay it was very stupid and unnecessary by Carter. -

There's no way they are told to suicide pass on the training field. I imagine the staff are hoping the players will exercise some common sense, and with young tired players sometimes that goes astray. -

I'd say it's more on Moran who had been passing the ball like that all night, but Carter isn't blameless. No need to even pass it to a player in danger, who clearly wasn't having a good game. You wonder if some footballers use their brain at all. -

That's on Moran though, he was poor last night. I wouldn't be surprised if he's benched on Saturday. -

I lowered my expectations accordingly and was pleasantly surprised by the 3 points. It was a frustrating watch though, I agree. -

Some shocking comments on here, all things considered. I'd hate you to be my boss if you think JDT isn't doing well. He's forced to work with kids, bargain basement buys, strikers who haven't scored 10 championship goals between them, injuries and bonkers owners. Your expectations are stuck in the early 90's.- 9617 replies

It's Mercer, the cosmos will make sure it's the opposite of anything he says.
