  1. There's probably more chance we were bottom.... Nice work Philly.
  2. Good news for us. We need to move on and we can do better than Dickov. That said, he was excellent for us and can leave with his head held high.
  3. Absolutely right - if i remember correctly in the 2001-02 season Merlin Premier League collection he was our "star-man" and the only Rovers player who was available in shiny! He's fallen so far....
  4. Dammit! Bad news Edit: Just clicked the link, I hadn't actually read it before I asked that, admittedly the question sounded facetious but it wasn't intended to be!
  5. SSN said it was Dickov he spat at. Can anyone confirm? I was worried it may scupper us getting rid of Dickov....
  6. Exactly what I've been screaming at anyone who would listen to me at work today. If Darren Bent was sat on the Arsenal bench, and Theo Walcott had scored 20+ goals for Charlton this season, who do you think Eriksson would have picked? Absolutely bloody joke.
  7. He he he
  8. If Bolton lose today we purely need to match theirs and Newcastle's results on the last day of the season, which we can undoubtedly do. A draw against Chelsea would be an added bonus which would make it almost definite even before the last day. C'mon Spurs!
  9. Newcastle have just scored a third, which puts them level on points and goal difference with us. We've blown it, given it away - and to the worst possible team to boot.
  10. Might be an idea to PM Rovernik.....
  11. Spurs 1-0 up.
  12. I remember just prior to the first goal, the Forest fans chanting "You'll never score for England" at Shearer. It seemed to wind him up no end, and the rest is history. Sums the man up, really.
  13. Can't see us winning. MGP is due a good performance though - I can see him scoring. If the defence is tight we have a good shout, but it looks unlikely given recent performances.
  14. Not necessarily, Espanyol won the Copa del Rey last night and with it a passage to the Uefa Cup. It could happen....
  15. To be fair the commentators have decided it fits their agenda to claim thats the reason, it may well not be...
  16. Couldn't be seen to be lagging behind the mickey mouser again could I?
  17. Hard to be confident about the rest of the game - Lehmann hasn't had a save to make in the first half.
  18. 1-0 Arsenal
  19. That must mean that we would be entering in round three and only have 1 tie to win?
  20. United must beat Arsenal today if our hopes are to go on - looking at Arsenal's 5 games left after today you could see them winning them all, the only hope being that the distraction of the Champions League and the away form curse come together and see them drop points. Realistically it's creeping towards being a forlorn hope now, but United can prolong it for us today...
  21. From Portsmouth to Blackburn in 2 1/2 hours? How?
  22. I'm with you Greg, not quite sure why he's having so much trouble understanding what you're saying. Teams with less ability than ours make the Champions League group stages every year.
  23. I disagree. If Spurs get draws at Everton and Arsenal and lose to United, we'll be 1 point behind with 2 games left. If Arsenal lose away to United, beat WBA at home and draw with Man City and Pompey away, we'll be 1 point ahead of them still. Granted they can both pick up more points than that, but so can we. The above isn't unrealistic - we're still in there with a chance!
