Wharton's passing is horrendous. Has been for awhile. Got away with a few previously. Definitely his mistake here.

Was the result unexpected? No. But to put a derby game on the plate for them is out of order. Baffling starting lineup, Mola? Garrett? Brittain at LB, Hedges again at RWB. Scott Wharton on bench. Adam Wharton missing. Dack only came on with 15 mins left? Bringing on Bucko? So many weird decisions. And of course, the passing around in the defence has got to stop. Every time Mola, Ayala, Hyam gets the ball, the Burnley forward line pushes and pressures our defenders and we ended up giving the ball away in our own half. JDT got to sort this out. It has been coming since many games ago but we got away with it. This time in a derby game, Burnley punished us dearly. They are not even spectacular of any sorts. Their football is just efficient to beat us with ease. It was men vs boys. Kalminski (had 2 other great saves) and probably Brittain are our better players today. Poor poor performance which we finally got punished. Let's hope JDT will sort this out in the next month and using this defeat to keep ringing into the players ears during the world cup break.

A massive shoutout to all the fringe players who started. Hoping for a City/Liverpool at their stadium in the next round. Will be such an experience for the boys and for them/JDT to test themselves against.

What an awesome pre-match we had. Playing a team who dresses like Burnley's colors. High-pressure penalties session. Importantly a morale-boosting victory for the entire team. Best prep for this weekend.

Almost impossible to see the likes of Kaminski, Ayala, Hyam, Pickering, Brittain, Hedges, Morton, BB, Gallagher starting against West Ham. We need these core for Burnley.

Did just enough for a 1-0 lead at HT. Plenty of passing the ball around in our defence, almost putting Hull to sleep. We need to more clinical in front of goal, created a few chances but probably overplayed.

The only consistent thing is our inconsistency. Why do we perform to get a result for one game and then played badly in the next, repeatedly. I'm worried once we start losing 2 in a row, it will be hard to find the confidence again. Our play so far has been underwhelming. All the passing at the back, hole in the middle of the park, our creative player is on RWB duties, to be honest, i dont even know what style of football are we playing. While 7 wins is nice, the 7 losses are also quite damning.

If Giroud wins a Puskas for his scorpion kick, then Hyam should at least be nominated.

Feels sorry for JRC but he just doesn't have anything in his locker to impact the first XI. Maybe he's just not good enough. Once Ayala, Gally, Wharton and Brittain are back fit, it's hard to see him getting onto the bench.
