  1. The prat has booked Bellers now for being obstructed by a Charlton player.......... Commentators reckon he'll have to book himself soon ......................
  2. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Abbey, you can be so cruel. How can you mock the afflicted........................................ Still, Down Down Down Down
  3. Peds, a yellow for diving? And Sav, a yellow for being kicked into the cameraman? Oh boy...................... And those commentators are doing my head in Still..........WE ARE WINNING - KEEP IT UP LADS - LET'S HAVE ANOTHER COUPLE PLEASE!
  4. My first Rovers match. Been hooked ever since! Visited family in Swindon the day before, and on the day drove along the M4 in the company of carloads of arrogant Spurs fans. Miss Roversmum and JJ bouncing up and down and shaking their fists at them! The drive home up the M6 was fantastic! What a brilliant day!
  5. It would be a great appointment imo. Hope it comes off and can't wait to see him get started. Going to be a few ruffled feathers around I reckon
  6. But probably the fact that Thommo is no longer a Rover has affected his goal's vote.
  7. Tunks slid off to Newcastle after the rest of the previous lot (serve him right). Kevin Hitchcock is the goalkeeper coach now, much better than Tunks I reckon. I find myself agreeing with what Rev says (somewhat worrying ! ), I think that's one of the reasons for so much disappointment, we know the guys can do so much better. They hardly broke into a sweat this evening, and gave BC way to much space. The only people who turned out for Rovers tonight were the fans. The team let us down big time. Lucas (yes, Jan, he is pretty) had a mare, and he wasn't the only one. I noticed the much maligned Kuqi was in the thick of it, trying to defend against two Big Club players (one of whom supplied for the second goal) with none of our defenders in sight. Thought he was a bit better tonight. We certainly won few headers until he came on, BC got everything in the air. Just want to get to the end of the season now, to regroup in the summer hopefully with a few additions. Thought the stewards were very friendly and helpful, the concourse is rubbish though, and the twerp who designed the stadium and put in one lift over the far end so that the disabled and helpers have to trek all the way over and then back through BC fans should be tossed over on to that railway line. Though to be fair the trek was more of a problem to Mr Roversmum than the fans who were also very friendly.
  8. I wouldn't bet on it. Let's just hope our lads keep their nerve, Eddie!
  9. Wigan are currently beating Villa, that puts them on 51 points.................
  10. I've just read the posts on the ref's forum that have been posted since I read it yesterday. It's the biggest load of tosh I've seen in a long time, especially judging the speed in which most ARs raise their flag as soon as a player darts out from behind a defender. Yet if he was already standing beyond the defenders waiting surely this could be deemed as not offside from what they are saying? The ball was actually being played to Cisse it seemed and I can't see how he wasn't interfering with play (yes I know about touching the ball, okay then, he was trying to decieve). He knew exactly what he was about and got the intended result. Personally I don't blame Lucas for the 'killer' tackle on Cisse which was right in front of me and believe me, it wasn't one of Lucas's 'specials'. That (very rude word which I wish I could say) Cisse cheated and got the points from the previous match by getting Zura sent off, and he's done it again. I'm busy thinking of retribution but haven't thought of anything strong enough . Especially when you think if it wasn't for our guys he'd have lost that leg after the accident last year. GGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. *Stamps foot*
  11. I think they've one or two. I saw a programme with Julian Gray showing some bod round the club; they paused at the 'Trophy Cabinet' and there was something in it. Could have been an optical illusion though................
  12. Good Heavens! After reading that discussion on the referees' board, I feel they are even worse than I thought. They seem to be taking a positive delight in announcing that in their opinion it was not offside! One thing is for sure, though. I said in a recent thread that I was not happy about the way players put up their hands to signal that the opposition player is offside. Please, Sparky, can you tell our lot to stop doing that and play to the (word I'm not going to say because I'm a lady ) whistle?
  13. Can't help remembering how the lads have 'lost it' over the last few games at the end of recent seasons........
  14. Great stuff, Jim J. We will be renewing our five when Mr Roversmum gets his financial strategy storted!
  15. It's Alan Wiley, with assistants Trevor Massey and Barry Sygmuta. Howard Webb is the fourth official.
  16. Try here only £9.99 now until 3rd August. A bargain!!
  17. Well they would do, seeing as they chose the time and day Hope the lads will be up for this one, need to turn up for a start.
  18. I had a hedgehog living in my garden for several years, it used to come out at the same time every night. Sadly it has died now. I've found it very interesting that when we came here in 1991 there wre few birds about, but somehow, since the M65 was built, there are many different birds visiting our garden! Plenty of squirrels around as well, they taunt the cats in the summer! We can visit the visitor centres in Chorley (Yarrow Valley and Cuerden) and Astley Hall. Don't know if Houghton Towers is open yet. You can sample the delights of Chorley, Dillo! Lancashire is a really beautiful county, it will take you several visits to see it all.
  19. Strange. At least if we must do, have someone ready for the rebound and play it back in......... Sav was brilliant when he woke up towards the end of the match, if he had played like that all match we would have won it easily. Have no idea how more Wigan players did not end up in the book. Our lads will be nursing some bruises this morning! I like Dickov but I'm disappointed with his contribution last night. Stevie Read missed two good chances It all seemed very flat last night. Don't think the players were really in tune with each other - frustration probably. Best players - Ryan and Mickey Gray And Kuqi - yes we all know he 'isn't a Premiership player' but he gets stuck in and that was a vital goal. Right lads, come Saturday you know what you have to do.................... Oh, and let's hope Phil Dowd is somewhere else far, far away
  20. Don't be silly,Bellamy11 He rides his horse of course
  21. I don't think the message is getting through, Jan
  22. I think I've lost the will to live
  23. Have to agree with you there, asianrover. There are dangerous things about which need banning. My daughter's neighbour for a start . I digress. I guess you feel targeted. Come to think of it, perhaps I should start smoking. My friend put on three stone when she stopped, and it just dropped off when she started again. Could do with losing a bit myself. On the other hand, maybe a morning run would have the same effect, be cheaper and better for me. Don't want to stop anyone's enjoyment of something, just would like them to feel the same about me.
  24. It's all getting a bit silly now. Smoking is not to be allowed in the vicinity of food so I should have thought it was obvious why smoking in the concourse will eventually be banned! And I know someone will trot out rubbish about it not happening but I've seen a lad who was wearing a footy shirt which was set on fire by hot ash dropping on him. Aside from cancer, that isn't worth the risk either. How many fires have been started by cigarette ends not being stubbed out properly? Get over it, it's for the best. No-one has answered my question as to why anyone should want to smoke anyway. Mouth like the bottom of a budgie's cage and smell like an ashtray? More money than sense? It's not cheap is it? Just look at the walls and ceilings in a smoker's house and compare them with a non-smoker's house. And let's face it, the reason why most smokers smoke is because they didn't have the guts to say 'no' when someone offered them one, or because 'everyone else was doing it', or as a youngster trying to look 'big'! I'll wager 99 per cent of smokers wish they didn't!
