[Archived] Blackburn End Drummers ?

Wouldn't you be better encouraging the team to beat Arsenal ? -

roversmum replied to herbergeehh's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Fair enough, but none of that was Amoruso's fault, it must all have been fairly horrid for him. If someone comes along and offers you a contract, you're hardly going to say 'No thank you, I'm rubbish', you'll give it a go. -

This is getting a bit boring now. I'm quite sure the guy didn't want his career at Rovers to turn out the way it has, he can't help injuries and I always felt that we stood chances with set pieces (paritularly corners) with him around, don't seem to be able to say that much now. Give it a rest, please, guys. Amo will be gone come the summer anyway. -

Can't a group of those who want to sing and chant have a word with the drummer? Surely there could be a compromise somewhere instead of muttering and moaning and all could be accommodated? -

Agree with you there, Azuri. If we win it will be because they are tired and for no other reason......... Was it last year that Reyes got carted off on a stretcher, only to leap off of it fully rejuvenated as it reached the touchline? Could do without all these random internationals that players are off for next week too, although pleased to hear Bentley's up for the U21s. -
I'm not a fan of the lad but really don't blame him for leaving Leeds at the time. Very few would have turned the chance down to play for Manure in the circumstances. Best wishes, Alan Smith. It will be tough but you have the character to get through it.

Cast your eyes back, MCRover - tenth post above yours, herbergeehh, posted 12.55 yesterday.............. Fear not, the deed has been done

Michael was streets ahead of the Sunderland lot last night. I bet they were sorry they let him go!

Mark said in one of his interviews that he wanted to see how Flo and Bellamy got on playing together at Ewood -
Apols, Stu. Didn't see the link. (note to self - "must do better" ) Hoping for a good game with a win for us and no return of ice, flood, fire or pestilence.............

Not sure about this one.

Spot on editorial, Alan75 I really felt that Hughes had sorted out lack-lustre performances. The worst thing is that Everton were able to beat us easily when we were down to 10 men at Ewood, neither could we break down Bolton in similar circumstances. And yet we still succumb to Everton when they are down to 10 men. Incidentally, I note that The Times are running an anti-diving campaign. I guess Moyes hadn't had time to put the poster up in the dressing room for Arteta to read . -
Cletus and SG194, I couldn't agree with you more. To be honest, it's rather insulting to the fans, the manager and the club in my opinion. It's their choice of career and they are lucky enough to play in one of the best leagues in the world. Okay, everyone has a bad day now and again, but three in a row? And we could name other matches in this season............ Walk round your local park any Sunday morning and what do you see? Lads of all ages playing their football, in all sorts of conditions, often on unkempt grounds, and giving their all for their teams. And having to pay for the privilege!

Arteta also managed two dives which would have done El Hadji Diouff justice........... -
Don't we all, Alan75. However, the most he can threaten them with is losing their place in the team and for most of them that isn't going to happen. If they think they are likely to leave in the summer they won't be arsed either. It's going to be a massive job to lift the players and get them wanting to play and win again especially against clubs in the lower half of the table in the cold dark miserable days of February. After these last three results (and I include West Ham in this) the euphoria of the win over ManUre has long since gone. If we lose the next match, more fans will walk (and who will blame them?) - and it will be no mean feat to get them back.

City is beating Charlton meaning we are now DOWN TO 10TH PLACE in the table unless Charlton can get another goal -

I'm sorry, it has to be said. Apologies in advance for shouting, but enough is enough. FORGET DUBAI, THE FANS DESERVE TO GO, NOT THE PLAYERS. KEEP THEM WORKING UNTIL THEY REMEMBER WHAT THEY'RE HERE FOR. -

'Tis true. It was a very large board! He backed into it though! Thought Everton were dire last night. Hope our lads are up for a bit of a battle! -

Interesting piece here about cheating after the Robben/Reina incident at the weekend. Ah, thought I, they surely can't drag up anything to do with Rovers on this one...... but lo: -

There was also their first free kick, jbn, given for Ronaldo tripping himself up as tv replays clearly show and as everyone at the match except the ref knew. Given the number of times he fell over, I suspect a fair few of them were along the same vein Still, didn't do him much good, did it? -
Having given granddaughter my usual seat in the JWL, I found myself next to a couple of female Manure supporters with a bloke behind , obviously come with some Rovers supporters. I made it my business to shout and cheer and jump about as much as possible, also saying to the lady on the other side of me how it served the cheating (I must not say that word) right. What a night!

Great idea, Den. Thanks Bob, enjoyed reading that. Quite a month, eh? More, please.
