Interesting point there. I was reading Paul Sturrock's column on the Swindon Town site and he said there will be a clause in new contracts along the lines that players live in the vicinity of Swindon so that they can be part of the community and are not driving long distances to and from home.

There's something not right about these reports of Lucas. Something doesn't add up. Why is Mark Hughes allegedly saying Lucas has been offered new deals when/if he hasn't? Surely Lucas has spoken with Mark about the situation? If Mark is really keen for Lucas to stay he would have been on to JW/TF about sorting it. If Lucas is unhappy with the Board he surely must have talked about it to others in the squad thus possibly causing unrest? Why have Reid, Ryan, Sav, Bentley, Morten apparently had no problems sorting out new deals with the club? It just doesn't make sense to me.

What is all this nonsense? BRISA were categorically told that Rovers carefullly analyse revenue from every game - they have all the figures to hand and know the number of seats at which price etc. I don't understand why people are disputing this. Its not that difficult to do when you have all the data to work with.

That is very annoying, Jammy, it really winds me up when people moan and complain and then don't follow it up. For us, given Mr Roversmum's mobility problems it's generally easier for us to go official.

Mr Roversmum and I were on the official trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't have any deadlines to meet though, so the delays didn't bother us.

I don't agree with what Lucas did, but anyone who says they are not coming whilst he is Captain/plays in the side are hurting our great club more than they are hurting Lucas.

Lucas has only himself to blame, unless it has been a clone making all those daft remarks we've been reading lately purporting to have come from him. Of course it's going to upset Rovers fans . So it wasn't really very 'professional' of him to react after his goal in the way that he did. There was also driving rain during part of last night's game that luckily we in the stands didn't get in our faces as the players did. Still, as a Lancashire team they should be used to that!
