Pearson to Bristol city. Always looking over at other clubs around us making the right calls ,at the right time Frustrating.
-
I would say probably Leeds, Wolves and Villa are the only ones with more over the last few seasons. Yet, look where they are. All whilst our under age teams excel. Maybe it's the manager and coaching. For real outlay on it ,I can't help but feel we need more from them on the field, or at least ,more in transfer fees.

Not sure why you feel it necessary to bring the Irish part in. Very odd. I have watched far more of him than you and I think he is a good player. You are throwing stats around, admitting you haven't watched him. Very silly really. Comparing him to Brantwaithe in some tenuous way, I don't even know what you're getting at there. I hardly have to go into explaining the numerous external factors at play with regards to that comparison. Pretty sure you have been critical of the Brantwaithe signing too. Strange post. Missing my point to start with and then continuing down the road. Very peculiar.

I was more pointing towards the fact that he is somehow fitter than Ayala. I haven't seen him play for Huddersfield, so I won't judge his performances based off a few lines of stats. Have you watched him play for them?

Think I'm done with paying €12 for games for now, but then again I am a glutton for punishment, so that might change by Wednesday. Win not even any good anyway, just give Mowbray more time. -
Someone needs to ask Mowbray what was the situation with Daniel Ayala's medical, was due process carried out? We signed the biggest crock of a centre half in the league. Huddersfield signed Richard Keogh after that horrific (self inflicted) injury, but he is still after coming in and starting week in week out. The Ayala signing absolutely stinks, so stupid, especially for a team that was already weak at the back

I couldn't see Hughes coming back to the club the way things are run now. Depends on how desperate for work he is I suppose. I would be very surprised though. Seems like the tide has turned on Mowbray with most fans and even the media now. He's not going to walk, cos he won't get a pay off. We are back in "ball in Venkys court" territory. Stomach churning due to the complete uncertainty and irrationality that comes with that. What's very clear though is the players have enough of him. There is no coming back from that. So hopefully this doesn't drag on too long. It probably will though. Sickens me to hear Liverpool and United supporting mates complain about their "plight".

This is the Tony Mowbray thread. The discussion on the training ground has its own thread. Calm your britches.

At the end of the day,Mowbray can blame whatever external factors he wants , but the fact remains he really hasn't helped himself with his downright bizzare use of certain players when they are fit. He has had longer than any other manager in the league, yet our players at this stage of the season when they should be peaking, look more confused and disjointed than anyone. Comparing our plight to that of Liverpool and Brentford ignores one huge discrepancy, their managers have delivered previously, massively in Liverpool's case, whereas Brentford are certs to at least make the play offs. It's nonsese.
-
You ok hun? I said it wasn't the most pressing issue, as in its not going to be solved over night, whereas Mowbray could be sacked and replaced in a few days. Setting us up with a manager who can work with the squad for next season, at least.
-
Ya, I'm approaching Kean like levels of frustration now. If he goes soon though, I will move on from that and recognise the good job he did, to a point. I hope it doesn't drag to the point where he damages the good work he did do.
-
Agreed and I think this training pitch situation isn't the most important issue at the moment. That is replacing the manager and backroom team. To build for next season.

Read his comments after the game. Compared us to Brentford because they have lost 3 on the bounce. The man is extracting the urine at this stage. He needs to be pulled up on this shite by reporters, immediately. MOWBRAY OUT

Absolutely disagree. He is playing Gallagher in a position that has made him a laughing stock and destroyed his confidence. How in god's name did he handle some of those you mention worse? Raya, Chapman, Nyambe, Brereton? No way. He should have started Davenport sooner, but when he does, at least it's in his best position. -

He was paying center forward with crosses coming in. Now Mowbray expects him to be Ryan Giggs or David Beckham, skinning defenders and whipping balls into the box. Then again there would be nobody in the box, so ya, I'm not exactly sure what Mowbray expects. Genuine question, what does Mowbray expect Gallagher to be doing? Honestly , can anymore have a stab at telling me -

So good start, only to concede? Can't say I am in the slightest bit surprised. Pretty standard and routine stuff for this side. -

Or control. He's an absolute clogger and it's really being highlighted on the wing. I get the feeling he thinks he's a better footballer than he is and therefore doesn't want to rely on his size, more his "skill". Or maybe he's just weak as a kitten. It's hard to know. -
