  1. Apart from the above, I agree that Brereton or Gallagher need to step up. Maybe Brereton can actually start being used as a striker , that would be a start
  2. I would be immediately less confidant going into a game if Graham wasn't starting
  3. Did Shearers penalties count?
  4. What boys? Were they not at the club before Mowbray? So if Mowbray appointed an ex Boro player, would that have been jobs for the boys too? Cos a few wanted George Boetang Seems he can't really win with some fans these days
  5. Why shouldn't Mowbray be involved? I don't see the problem. In fact he will be working so closely with them, I think it's a must that he had a say.
  6. Or the best candidate Depends on your outlook I suppose. Why do you treat this with suspicion? Did you treat Johnsons promotion the same?
  7. I am starting to think that if it was a toss up between Cunningham or a new CB, we have done good business. He is going to prove to be a huge signing this season. It's so refreshing to have a quality left back. The worry now and the job for the backroom team is managing Lenihan, Williams and Tosin so that we always have at least two of them fit. Fingers crossed. Either of those two with Cunningham full back means we are stronger than last season at the back.
  8. When posters go this far it really stands out as being blinkered with dislike for the manager that you can't see the wood from the trees. He has his faults, but this isn't a balanced view at all. Like to even move onto Travis and Johnson and try and get a dig in about them is really grasping at straws. If Williams is playing well, does it matter who signed him? Could it not be said then that Mowbray saw something a lot of us didn't by having confidence in him to fulfill that role? Ya, the jury is out on Brereton. I think Gallagher will be more effective. Either way, if Graham is the best option and scoring, well then the position is his to lose again.
  9. Thoughts, Gallagher played well. Fair play to him Downing and Johnson are class signings, so credit where it is due Lenihan and Williams together are pretty good. Huge potential there Cunningham light years better than Bell. Enormous upgrade.
  10. We look tired. Not fit enough!!!
  11. The defence looks good though. Hon the Irish lads
  12. To not star Rothwell is just piss poor. Sick of mowbrays choices now
  13. It's an absolute disgrace.
  14. After a decent pre season Mowbray destroys him. What was the actual point of this signing?
  15. No Rothwell and Gallagher on the wing Seriously, can anyone here explain to me how Gallagher on the wing is a better option than Rothwell? Anyone
  16. Which is more most have done. Why, who would you pick? Edit- just saw that @Oldgregg86got there before me!
  17. Yep, Bennett, Armstrong and Gallagher will probably be unfairly wedged into a role that someone else deserves more. He will have Bennett right back with Armstrong and Gallagher stuck on the wings. So frustrating.
  18. Ya, he was probably just frustrated that when given a chance against a league 2 team, he played shite.
  19. Pretty much picks itself, surely
  20. Good news that Lenihan is back. The team now pretty much picks itself, doesn't it? Eh Tony? Doesn't it? No.... oh
  21. Ok, that all sounds fair enough, but then I look at the opening quote again. So basically Mulgrew read his mind, is that the jist of it? Charlie was feeling what I was thinking. If his game time was going to be more limited this season, he wanted to play. He wanted more game time
  22. He actually did surprisingly ok there in fairness
  23. I really don't understand. Why is everyone at the club going out of their way to make out everything was rosey with the move? Like why did Bennett need to add that line about Mulgrew. It's extremely unlikely he will play for the club again. Why not just put a line under it and move on.
  24. "while big skip is away" What is actually going on like ?
