  1. Clearly he was bothered Decent start to the season. Plenty of positives. Group think in full swing on here I see...
  2. Great stuff. That's a real positive to take from the game
  3. I wouldn't say he really "has them" in the present sense. I can't see Smallwood playing a league game this season. If Davenport was fit I would have liked to see him tonight, or Tosin
  4. Cos he has no football brain. Speed is literally all he has and he can't even use it effectively. Really don't rate the guy.
  5. Ya that's fair enough. Still though, I think the two lads get unfair criticism when the likes of Armstrong and Leutwiler are arguably worse and more to blame
  6. Can't put all the blame for everything at their feet. It's lazy at best. We played a strong team and were doing well before an individual error. An error which wasn't from Smallwood or Evans.
  7. Armstrong is a let down. Something about him that I don't like in a player. I think he comes accross as petulent and lazy. Absolutely zero chance I would trust him with a penalty either.
  8. Nice team Funny how some choose to only focus on Smallwood and Evans, as opposed to any of the positives. Decisions that would be complained about if not made!
  9. Out of their depth or just had a bad game? If they are out of their depth against league 2 teams at home, why are they at the club? Upsets are rife at this stage of the league cup. Less pressure on young lads away to a Premier league team than at home to a league 2 team. Easier to get motivated for it too.
  10. Ya, god damn Mowbray coming in and undoing Coyles good work. Those 3-2 defeats week in week out were so exciting!
  11. I wouldn't look too much into the Oldham game. Was a stinker up until they came on alright though...Being away from home might suit us better
  12. We had a chance of winning it in 2002 We don't have the squad depth now to have a cup run, unfortunately. Having said that, we have some good young lads, so who knows...could surprise a few tonight.
  13. Sure whats the point in putting so much into supporting a team if you can't dream?
  14. For the 3rd time seeing as you are struggling, I liked the reference to his injury record being a concern, not his ability. In fact,I don't even recall there being mention to his ability in the post and couldn't be bothered checking!
  15. Ya, but Gallagher clearly has far more about him than Lowe. 12 goals the season we went down alone is more of a contribution than Lowe made in all his time at the club.
  16. Going to need to be on our game here. Bad Rovers turning up could easily finish 2-0 to them. Watched them against Derby. They were unlucky with some decisions, but they certainly aren't unbeatable. A few older creakers in that team around midfield and at center half. Good Rovers could get a draw 2-2. Excellent Rovers and who knows
  17. I rate him as a player. Using peoples "likes" as a basis to argue against them is a new level of grasping at straws, even for your good self! I agree the Brereton one is peculiar to say the least. I have said on here a few times that whatever about him not featuring last season, to be a bit part player this season , after the fee we paid, does undoubtedly raise serious questions. I watched an interview with Mowbray the other day where he was discussing signings and he said soemthing along the lines of the following, I paraphrase You scout players and you hope you do a good job, you don't always get it right, but I think we have done pretty well It made me think of Brereton
  18. I don't care because we aren't going to win the league cup and it will just end up being a distraction from the league or lead to injuries to key players. A sad state of affairs and a sign of modern football, but that's the reality for me.
  19. I don't think Evans and Smallwood are so bad that it absolves those 5 of blame if they don't perform when given the opportunity
  20. Expected to rest pretty much all their usual starters though
  21. I wouldn't risk the injuries personally. Sheffield will ring the changes from their first 11 , so we won't really be playing Prem opposition
  22. I've asked this question more than once and never got an answer----"Why did Mowbray sign him?" You've written the player off so what's that say about the manager? No, I liked a post that referenced his injury record. Don't make stuff up. A number of posters have answered your question from their own opinions. No one knows for definite why Mowbray actually signed him, only Mowbray. To be honest, I'm lost in the point your are struggling to make and I wouldn't think I am the only one.
  23. Do I care if we lose? Not really if it doesn't impact on league performances. Team I would like to see Walton (I don't think he needs a rest and the more he plays the better imo) Bennett Tosin Grayson Hart Evans Buckley Chapman Rothwell Butterworth Brereton
