  1. This is it. How many hours, sorry minutes, per week does the club factor in their business discussions? A footnote in AOB at the end of a meeting, at best. Either that or they are updated quarterly.
  2. I'm still not happy about my ban. Looking at you sensitive k-hod Any who. Mowbray isn't a ruthless winner. Even with a great set of players,it would be the same. In fact, a bunch of winners in the dressing room would tire of his constant and needless chopping and changing. I have no issue with Bennett as a squad player, but this need that Mowbray has to shoehorn him in no matter what is just silly. He isnt that good a player,or a leader. I watched Leicester last night, so ruthless. I would put us at the other end of that scale. We have decent players and that saves us at times, but when push comes to shove we arent ruthless. We haven't hammered anyone under Mowbray, in fact I think if we somehow managed to be 4 up at half time, his team talk would probably involve him telling the lads to be good humans and not embarrass the opposition. I honestly think he would do that. Get Roy Keane in. At least it will be entertaining. These lads need an extreme kick up the backside. If not him,get Hughton. I dont think we have the squad for Pulis to succeed here. I wouldn't be a big fan anyway. I dont believe in insulting mowbray or questioning his character. It's just time to go.
  3. Mowbray is toast. Hes just not able to keep up with any manager who had a bit about him tactically. Today was especially pathetic, Neil made the changes whilst Tony sat like a plank hoping we could somehow hold out. It doesn't work like that. I knew we we weren't going to win after going 2-0 up and I also knew we wouldn't score a third. We caught them by surprise, had a 2 goal head start and we all still knew we would lose. The players did too. I'm not going to question mowbrays character. I think that is low and unnecessary, but he needs to be sacked. Now if this drags on like the Kean saga..... The season isnt over if we just make the right appointment here. Bad feeling it's going to drag though.
  4. I think if the players we have were used correctly, we would have a great chance. Im not critical of the manager over what he had for breakfast, like some are, but whatever about Bennett, who shouldn't be starting ahead of Nyambe, the whole Armstrong ahead of Rothwell thing is actually annoying me. Rothwell was ,and I dont think i am exaggerating when I say this, on fire at the end of last season. I would have put the house on him starting this season. I just do not see what Armstrong brings to the table that Rothwell doesn't. Ok,maybe pace, but its not as if Armstrong is consistently using it effectively. I watched Rothwell do things last season that showed his quality. It can't be defensively, nor should it be, because Armstrong is lazy. I am sick of watching him drop the head or jog back. The worst part is, he would actually be a great option off the bench against tired teams. Mowbray has mixed Rothwell and Armstrongs roles up. He is on his way to destroying Rothwell and that is disappointing to say the least.
  5. I watched them back again this morning. Not a great day for the Irish lads. Cunningham was poor for the second, Walton should have been out quicker to at least narrow the angle for a shot, but Cunningham let their guy get in ahead of him. The third one then, lenihan should have taken him down quickly and subtly. I don't know what he was trying to do. Walton out slow again though. Looks to be 1 area where Raya was better. I'm going in random order here, but Armstrongs contribution to the first one sums him up in my opinion. Their guy got past him and he made absolutely minimum effort to get back. Like that should be highlighted at video work in front of the team. You can debate the ability of every player all day, but lack if effort is easy to spot and absolutely inexcusable. If he had have actually ran full speed back he would have been close enough to get a block on the chip that came back off the post. Again, we are striking me as a team who will never, ever do it when the chips are down and ,for example, a win would put us in the play off positions. We are grand when the pressure is off or there are no expectations. We might very well go on a run again, but next time a game comes around like Brentford last season, we will lose it. Rothwell should be starting. Its disappointing that none of Gallagher, Brereton or Armstrong look more effective than Graham up front. For the money they cost , we should have been able to effectively replace Graham.
  6. It's all about going on runs. We just need to make sure the bad ones arent as prolonged as last years. Question mark's still out for sure I think its criminal that Armstrong starts over Rothwell. I just don't see how Armstrong is the better option in any way.
  7. Never nice to lose, but plenty of positives to take into the next round of more winnable games. We will know after them what this team is capable of. We had a tough start and I would give it a grade of C+
  8. Not really the same principle though cos Coyle was so shit we ended up in a relegation battle. Mowbray won promotion and then finished mid table. Ah he wont get any praise from some no matter what happens. They have their minds made up. I think there is room for balance though.
  9. A handful maybe, but we have scored plenty of goals and I have never seen anyone say mowbray is anyway responsible. The second we concede however....
  10. Losing is never a good result
  11. If Mowbray gets all the blame when we concede, why doesn't he get any credit when we play good football and score? I suppose it's the same at most clubs
  12. Playing some great stuff. Deserve to be at least drawing. We look like a far better footballing team than last season. No doubt about that
  13. Well these substitutions are either going to work very well,or very badly. I don't think it will be anything in between..
  14. Oh I know. We needed another centre half
  15. Except for we kept what was it ,3 clean sheets before this? Individual errors today, but Mulgrew out and Cunningham in was good recruitment. Could have done with another CB, but the defence was playing well up to today.
  16. The second I saw we scored early I just knew it would end up being bad for us Reminds me of the Brentford game last season
  17. You are choosing to focus on that whilst ignoring that he looks better. Which is of course your prerogative.
  18. I have been saying it for ages. Of all players, Mowbray has his biggest blind spot for Armstrong. He's lazy and that is inexcusable. I can't see it changing anytime soon knowing mowbray
  19. Ya, I am pretty sure he is focusing on doing the same thing. He did well against West brom last season. Wouldn't you agree?
  20. Walton has looked better than Raya though, much, much better. Does that come into it at all for you? Seems odd you pick him being "less experienced" but leave out the fact he looks better. Whatever suits the moan I suppose!
  21. You mean the managers of the clubs who have the same points as us give or take 1? So, sorry, what exactly have they done?
  22. I wonder how that would work though with regards the fee we paid for him
  23. Absolutely no way, barring injuries , that Mowbray will break Lenihan and Williams up. I think he could be used as a defensive midfielder from the bench to start with. Or, we might go 3 at the back, but I can't see anyway he will break the Lenihan/Williams partnership. Tony does some odd things for sure, but I can't see it in this instance.
  24. And he starting for us in the League cup a few weeks back. Seems odd.
