  1. Also a ridiculous decision after he had a great pre season. What is Mowbray at. He loves Armstrong even though he is inconsistent and lazy His loyalty to certain players will be his downfall.
  2. If we rock up to Fulham with that defence we will get a pasting
  3. I think you are the only one with that opinion of Johnson. Anyone playing well in your opinion?
  4. Whatever happens, this is a needlessly poor team selection. Bennett shouldn't be playing. Rothwell should be on the wing instead of Downing and he could be moved left back instead dof Bell. The fact we have the same defence after Mowbrays comments is totally ridiculous. I think the worse is Rothwell though. On fire at the end of the season. Everyone loving it. Then boom, on the bench. It's fucking annoying like.
  5. Bennett will end up getting Mulgrew the sack. Its a disgrace he starts ahead of Nyambe.
  6. The full back positions are going to cost us if Bennett and Bell stay there. I would put Nyambe or Rankin Costello right back and Hart left. Decent start, but need to take our chances. Johnson and Travis are the centre midfielders we have been screaming out for.
  7. Hopefully man. We could do with him being a revelation there. If he is the mobile ball playing centre half pep hints at him being, that would be pretty sweet.
  8. Good point. I am sure other chairmen look at that and think feck getting this guy in.
  9. Feck sake yes. Too many games last season saw us start cold. This game isn't about containment of Charlton. It's about pushing them back and showing them that this Rovers team is much stronger than what they faced in league 1. It's huge. Start as we mean to go on. I think we need to show them respect, sure, but we have spent far more, we have a season back in the championship under our belts and we are talking about promotion. Anything less than a win not good enough. I think they will find it difficult to deal with Dack, Rothwell and Armstrong.
  10. I meant the spending of money out of nowhere. Not the part where its the spending of money on a player that barely plays all year ? That wouldn't be good...
  11. Right, I missed that with Travis. I think they do a 11 v 11 game Thursday or Friday where one team is what will start. Speculation as well though. I suppose some players know they will start; Dack and Lenihan for sure. I think Armstrong definitely will too, but he has a lot of competition. A big shock would be Rothwell in Dacks role though... Not impossible It's very hard to predict the exact team. I just hope Mowbray doesn't leave Rothwell out. I would be awful disappointed if he did.
  12. I am hoping/wishing/thinking we have a Brereton style deal left to be done. Mowbray has said a few times that near the end of the window players who you are quoted big fees on drastically drop in price when parent clubs realise they have to get them off the wage bill.
  13. Good question. Martin O'Neill used to tell the Irish players half an hour before the game. I think managers do it differently. Some players can't sleep if they know they are playing in a big game. I suppose there are pros and cons to each. Personally I think it's better of they know the day before.
  14. It's just mind games from both managers. Mowbray expects nothing less than a win and they players know that.
  15. Crazy money, but good for Derby. In that context I wouldn't be entertaining anything less than £12 million for Lenihan
  16. No sign of the obligatory goodbye and thank you post yet. I think every player does one now. In fairness he resurrected his football league career here. He should def say something.
  17. It's crazy that he can sit there and say those things. I suppose he is setting himself up either way. If they don't do well he has his excuses in early. If he does well he has achieved it against the odds. Even without new players that team should be challenging for the play offs. They were mid table in the championship when Mccarthy left. A fair few of that team are still around. Plus the good league 1 players Hurst signed.
  18. Well if he is accusing people of being "ignorant" about players, he would really want to get his names straight.
  19. It's gas how Tosin playing champions league for City or 36 games for West brom is being fobbed off by some as if it somehow doesnt count. If Wigan or Preston signed him I am sure they would have been two of the reasons why Neil or Cook are canny operators getting him in ?
  20. Absolute LOL. Ya that aging and crap Tyrone Mings playing for West Brom. Amazing how he managed to do that without anyone knowing he played for them and then moved to villa for £25 million. Impressive. Can you show me quotes from either of those managers about Kane as glowing as peps about Tosin? No I didn't watch much of Bristol City apart from highlights. They are on TV around twice a year. How did you get to see so much of them? I hope you were watching them closer than you watched West Brom
