  1. Ya, I would tend to agree with you there. I think the hope is that he has improved, because I'm not sure how quick Mowbray would be to replace him.
  2. Class. A brilliant time to have been able to watch games like that live. I'd say a few of the tackles that went in then, would be instant red cards now ?
  3. Actually I just googled it there and it says his debut was against City. It must have been his first game at Old Trafford I was at. His actual debut against City sounded worse.. https://www.givemesport.com/1493636-patrice-evra-reveals-the-full-extent-of-his-nightmare-debut-for-man-utd-in-2006 https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/sir-alex-fergusons-stinging-attack-18800397 He's 29?? I thought he was around 19. I read this morning he is their only fit striker.
  4. I was at Evras first game for United against Fulham. I think the score was 3-1 to United. He was brought on at half time and substituted on 65 minutes. Got roasted by Boa Morte repeatedly.
  5. Got 3 million off Boro for Bola haven't they? Hopefully a sell on clause inserted.
  6. Thats just other fans voting. Clubs with more fans will be higher up. Plus you can vote multiple times. It's a nonsense.
  7. Not a single fan predicts that their team will finish 1st. Just shows what the Championship is like. https://www.skysports.com/transfer/news/11096/11774103/sky-bet-championship-201920-fans-predict-their-clubs-fate I think every club, bar Cardiff maybe, would take 6th right now if offered it.
  8. Cool name. Would be a great name for a big rough center half!
  9. Shur players didn't even have to train before games back then. Probably had a feed of pints the night before as well.
  10. Wigan a better window....? Someone will be on next claiming Bolton did
  11. Just as was predicted on here last season? Eh Not a hope. We will be well ahead of them.
  12. No, they aren't. Just those in international squads. I think once last season the rest of the team were given days off on an international break. Sure you would,.
  13. I don't know who the guy is who wrote the article, but what struck me on reading it that it is basically a message board post https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17807225.concerns-optimism-rovers-ahead-new-season/ Is he a journalist?
  14. No, 9 days over 2. In the week before a game many different bases are covered. It seems you either don't understand that or are so entrenched in your view now that you are refusing to acknowledge this. You've proven nothing apart from something in your own head it seems. It would be interesting to read you and others views if Mowbray did start Tosin and he had a shocker of a game. Very interesting. I can imagine what they would be.
  15. Yes, 9 days after he signed. Giving him the week to work with the squad on the pre-game build up. Tosin hasn't had any time to do this. See the difference?
  16. You are ignoring the fact he was only signed yesterday and has had no time to work with the squad. I am sure all this week the focus has been on Charlton. Talking tactics, what their strengths are. Tosin hasn't been involved in that. I'm not saying he shouldn't go in for the next game after getting up to speed.
  17. So you think it would have no disruption on the team to drop the captain for a guy signed on loan 2 days earlier who has done no prep work with the squad? OK then.
  18. It's his way. He doesn't put players straight in as a general rule. I think Johnson will buck thay trend though. He is here to start. It can be frustrating. What I think if he started Lenihan and Tosin? I would be hoping for the best. I just don't think it would be ideal for Tosin. If he had a bad game then it could impact on his entire time here. A good weeks training getting to know the layers, tactics and formation will give him a better foundation I belive.
  19. Pretty good. I just think that if I played with a guy for years, worked all summer with them to improve what was a poor defence and then two days before the game some guy I don't know is put beside me, I would be a bit concerned. Now maybe the new guy could be great and have a stormer, but then again maybe he could freeze becuase he is young and doesn't know the team or our tactics. I didn't want Mulgrew to be first choice beside Lenihan, but where we are now, I think it's the safest option. Hopefully Tosin or someone else force their way in. Actually hopefully they don't and it's because Mulgrew is performing! I can't see that happening though before someone jumps on me claiming I said Mulgrew should start, even though I have clearly and repeatedly said it's not ideal.
  20. No, we shouldn't be. But the reality is we didn't sign anyone in time. That's disappointing, but it doesn't mean the solution is to drop in a lad for the reasons I mention in previous posts above.
