  1. He probably is good enough though. Just needs a bit of time to work on how we play and to get to know the other players.
  2. I have no problem him replacing Mulgrew after working with the squad. I was probably Mulgrews biggest critic before others even acknowledged how poor his form was. Just not a day or two after signing on loan having not worked with the team or coaches
  3. You haven't a clue man. The defenders and team have been working together all summer. You think it would make sense to bring a lad in who has done no prep work with the team on tactics, set-pieces or formations. Absolute nonsense.
  4. I do wonder if some posters have ever played sport at any type of competitive level if they think the best thing to do would be drop Tosin into the starting 11 Saturday. Talk about setting a young lad up to fail.
  5. No, that's not what I said at all. I said you shouldn't land a guy you signed on loan 2 days previously into a starting 11 unless you absolutely must. The defense have been working together all summer, they have played together. Also, when Mulgrew lost his place, he lost it to Williams. Who is now injured. If he wasn't, he would be starting.
  6. I am saying that you can't sign a lad on loan 2 days before a game and drop him in instead of your club captain. Surely not that difficult to grasp? I didn't say anything about Nyambe or Bennett either so not sure what you're lobbing that in for
  7. It isn't the same though as there is a new goalkeeper. Ideally we would have gotten the City guy in earlier so he could have trained properly and staked a claim for a starting place. Suggesting we just drop Mulgrew for Saturdays game and criticizing Mowbray for not doing so is stupid.
  8. I would imagine he will be going all out for that. He knows his standards dropped last season. I would imagine his personal pride will mean he gives it a right go. He's not just some journeyman. He is a guy who was won many trophies and is former international captain. I wouldn't write the big man off. Signing another centre half to take some pressure off could do him the world of good. We will know early doors anyway
  9. Jesus, what would you want for a "decent" window if signing another centre half doesn't get to that level at least.
  10. Well at this stage it would be crazy to drop the club captain for a guy we signed on loan 2 days before the game. Whatever about Mulgrew, it would not be a good idea to have Lenihan playing with a new partner he barely knows. Even if Adarabioyo is a better player than Mulgrew. It isn't FIFA 19 lads.....
  11. Crucial when backs are to the wall. Hopefully a combination of this guy and the new keeper will make us a bit more secure from aerial bombardment!
  12. That is interesting. Jesus Wolves and Cardiff, 39 goals conceded. That's impressive. Just goes to show the foundation promoted teams are built on. We need some improvement to get anywhere near that. If we do though, we are going up, because we are going to score a good few goals.
  13. How so? He has played in all of those positions previously
  14. I think Gallagher will be a good addition and we will get goals out of him and sell for a profit. In the short-term though, yes, I would have liked us to spend money on the defence. Hopefully we get one of these European targets in.
  15. I know, but we also know how Tony is about these things. He could surprise us. I actually think he would start Brereton up there before Gallagher. I think Gallagher will eventually end up as first choice striker this season though, or Brereton. I'm confused Mowbray has said that everyone is starting from scratch this season, so it could be a really interesting team. Listened to an interview with him on break earlier. He was bigging Rankin-Costello up as a right back option. Going off what he was saying, it sounded like he has impressed him the most of all the young players.
  16. Where did you do your research to get the 99% are negative comment? Go on their forum and have a look
  17. Ya, mixed alright. Apparently he started well in the middle, but not great at right back. I suppose Vincent Kompany might struggle at right back. It's a very different role. Some WBA fans said he was a far better centre half than Kyle Bartley.
